I’m from Mexico (Mty), and I can honestly say this restaurant is absolutely worth visiting.
The food is delicious, full of authentic flavors, and beautifully prepared. The service is excellent—friendly, attentive, and very welcoming. The atmosphere is super cozy and comfortable, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the meal.
I highly recommend this restaurant, and as a little extra tip, ordering the chai tea at the end of the meal is a real plus.
I will definitely be coming back!
☺️
What stood out most was the consistency every dish tasted like it was made to be someone’s favorite meal, not just another order. We’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends. If you love authentic Indian flavors, this spot is absolutely worth the visit. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The crispy corn masala fry came out hot and crunchy, coated in spices that wake up your taste buds without being overpowering. The goat biryani was the showstopper, perfectly cooked basmati rice, loaded with tender goat pieces, layered with herbs and heat, and finished with lemon and onions on top for that fresh bite. The kaju paneer masala was rich and creamy, the kind of dish that balances spice with a smooth cashew base that keeps you coming back for more. The vindaloo was bold and fiery, the kind of spicy that builds with every bite but keeps its flavor intact. And of course, the garlic naan and tandoor roti were fresh, soft, and perfect for scooping every last bit of sauce off the plate.
The restaurant itself feels modern and clean, with a calm vibe that makes it easy to relax and enjoy your meal. The staff was friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a good experience. Before we left, they even surprised my daughters with complimentary mango juice, small gesture, big impression.
If you haven’t been to Sanika’s yet, go. This spot delivers some of the best Indian food you’ll find east of Nashville.
They need to hire atleast one more person on weekend. The one girl there is working hard to cover all the tables. I have asked for something to both owner and the lady twice. Both of them missed to bring it.
Update – 2nd Visit.
In my second restaurant visit, food was not okay.
I did specifically ask if the parottas are frozen before ordering. They denied its frozen, but you can clearly say its frozen parotta that you get at the store.
I hate liars I would have ordered something else from the menu if they were honest.
The veg korma is bland with no salt and very less quantity.
Veg pulav was good as usual but charged for extra raita. I may not visit again.
Update 3rd Visit – Carryout order
Veg kofta biriyani is oily and very dry. The side of pulav rice is really bad.
Update 4th visit – since you have asked me to come to the restaurant I did. I always wanted to encourage local family owned businesses. Hence my multiple visit even after bad experience.
The biryani Which was ordered after explaining the previous experience in person, with medium spice is way too spicy for someone who is from south India and eats spicy food all the time. I would rate the spice level as 10/10. Even after mixing it white rice there is no use and had to trash it.
There is no rice except for biryani masala. The little rice that is present is dry, broken and extremely oily which tells me you have tossed the precooked dry rice in masala and served as biryani. Unfortunately this will be my final visit I guess.
Sanika’s Indian Food in Mt. Juliet was fantastic! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was just as great. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care and at a great price!!!
Ask for Sandra — she is on it! Super attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better.
We’ll definitely be back ASAP!
