We had an incredible experience at Blue Bell Inn. We were a group of 18, and they accommodated us beautifully by placing us in the elegant and very private Hunt Room. The space felt exclusive yet warm, making it perfect for our large gathering.
The food was outstanding. The oysters were incredibly fresh, and the desserts were just as impressive—rich, flavorful, and the perfect way to end the night. The wine selection was excellent as well… we enjoyed it so much we finished three bottles!
What truly made the evening exceptional was the head service. It was beyond outstanding—professional, attentive, and seamless from start to finish. Despite our large group, everything flowed smoothly, and we felt genuinely taken care of the entire time.
Overall, it was a top-tier dining experience we won’t forget.

Suzanne was phenomenal! The blue bell inn is always close to my heart especially the blue room or duck or bird room I would dine here as a kid so coming back and enjoying a nice meal with husband is so nice. The owner is so nice too ! The food is phenomenal!

With almost 300 years of history, the Blue Bell Inn has a charm that stands out, and the original dining room had a festive feel. The menu is impressive, and the bar looks like a fun, welcoming spot. I’ll definitely return. The lobster roll was delicious, and I regret not finishing your fries lol. The chocolate cake was a highlight, and the café latte was exceptional. The overall ambiance, from the décor to the service, made the visit feel thoughtfully put together perfect for special celebrations in the day (as ours was) or a decadent night out. Shout out to Jacob the Valet! Thank you!

My fiance and I had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary at the Blue Bell Inn. It was my first time there and it definitely won’t be the last! Service was a little slow to get started since it was busy, but once it took off, we were well taken care of. The food was incredible and multiple staff made sure to celebrate our day. Thanks for making it as special as possible! Pictures include the calamari, the cheese steak dumplings, the chicken and dumpings, the duck breast, truffle Mac n cheese, whipped potatoes, and the apple pie bread pudding. Yum!

Have not been to the Blue Bell Inn in many, many years. Went there recently and was very pleasantly surprised. The interior is really well done. The bartenders were efficient and the food was excellent. Oysters were fresh and tasty and a steal at $1 each. The two petite filet appetizer was very good. The meat was prepared perfectly medium-rare as requested. Next time I order it I will request the béarnaise and bacon blue cheese sauces be served on the side since they detracted from the steaks. The Italian panini was also very good – simple, surprisingly light with great ingredients. The place can be a little loud. Regardless, I will definitely be going back soon.

Bottom line up front: Blue Bell Inn is sadly a mixed bag. Drinks are strong and well made (A-) , service is attentive (A-), but the happy hour bar food is uneven and often mediocre (C+). Overall, the HH experience could be (and should be, considering how much business they rake in!) so much better.
My GF and I occasionally meet up here at the bar for happy hour, most recently on a weekday afternoon in March 2026. We ordered several apps:
— The dozen PEI oysters were poorly shucked and contained bits of shell. They were very small and, as a result, barely contained any oystery taste. Also, the oysters are opened in advance, and not to order, which I think dries them out and compromises their quality. I won’t buy them anymore — what a shame!
— The fillet mignon “duo”, which we ordered medium-rare, was overcooked. The meat wasn’t tender, either. Strike two!
— The focaccia sandwich with fries was decent.

We have not been here in many years. I have to say, it was a great meal. I had Jo idea how many different rooms there were. We were in a smaller room toward the back (which I liked because we wanted to be able to have an easy conversation). There are MANY good choices on the menu. I had the lobster roll, which was tasty. My friend had the grilled cheese and tomato soup special which he said was very good.

Arrived at opening time on a Friday at lunch. They had our reservation and took us to a choice of 2 tables. Servers were attentive and pleasant. Some unusual menu items. Willing to switch a side salad for fries. Side salads had mix greens and were tasty. Glad we were there early before the dining room got noisy. Pleasant outdoor seating was also available.

Beautiful breakfast location. The bread bowl needs more than 4 pieces. Cocktails were excellent!

We had an incredible Valentine’s experience at the Blue Bell Inn! From start to finish, the service, atmosphere, and food were all absolutely incredible. I kicked things off with crab hush puppies and a Caesar salad, while my girlfriend enjoyed the lobster bisque and clams. For the main course, she had a perfectly cooked 8 oz filet mignon, and I went for the New York strip both cooked to perfection. We also capped the evening with some great espresso martinis. Honestly, whether it’s a date night or a special celebration, I’d highly recommend Blue Bell Inn. We’ll definitely be back!
