Had lunch there on a Friday. You order at the counter and then they bring it out. It took about ten minutes. Food was very good and I would say certainly above average for a fast service type of restaurant. I had the fish tacos with cod which were good and my wife salad with tuna. We will return.

Great quality seafood, lovely atmosphere and fantastic customer service! As someone who is trying to incorporate more fish into my diet, I’m very picky about seafood as I’m not a fan of the fishy taste that usually comes with it. The food here is so fresh! The lobster rolls are to die for and they have a variety of ways to cook the fish to your liking. Definitely looking forward to eating here again and again!

Everything was spot on. Really delicious fresh tasting fish. You place your order at the counter and it’s then delivered to your table. They have several daily fish selections which you can have built into a bowl, a salad, or a sandwich and you get to pick a side and how your selection is prepared. They offer several tasty appetizers as well as specialty dishes. One of the great things about this place is they serve local beer on tap. Comparatively priced to other seafood joints. I was happy with the quality and the service.

I travel each week to a new city for work. I like to eat local eateries along my visits. Each night I go to a new place and have a taste of the local cuisines. But I never eat the same thing twice in one visit… Until Slapfish. I went in the first night and the store had some people who were not on shift yet, and literally the entire store was sat with patrons and each table had no food. I knew something was up. As i ordered the staff informed me they were handling the rush but were a little behind. Now this is where you can see an establishment truly come to life. The staff were supportive of each other, please and thank you were still being used betwen the team. And yes, the food took a few extra minutes to get out to the guests, but when it did, let me tell you… it was AMAZING! The staff were wonderful, but the food was FANTASTIC. I ate my three items and enjoyed every bite. It was so good that I came back the next night and tried two new things, and a repeat of my fish and chips from the night before. Amazing menu, diverse tastes, and fair market pricing for the items. Ovearll, a must visit if you cme across the Slapfish on your travels.

Decided to stop in today for lunch while out doing errands. I never know what to expect with a new place but I was certainly not disappointed!
The lady that greeted us when we walked in was super friendly and happy to explain how they do things. There was a board with all the fresh fish they had available for the day. It was nice to know we could pick anything listed for any dish whether we wanted it grilled, fried, blacked, or beer battered. There were so many options that sounded good we took a minute to think it over. We ended up getting more than we needed so we could try a mix of what they had to offer. We got their fish taco, lobster roll, lobster taquitos, and a clobster grilled cheese.
Everything was delicious, but the taquitos were my favorite, hands down! They came with a small scoop of guacamole and a couple tangy, spicy sauces drizzled on top. They are wrapped in a flour tortilla and stuffed with lobster. The fish taco, while being fried didnt feel greasy, the cabbage, cilantro, and sauce made it light and fresh. The lobster roll isn’t cheap, but was absolutely delicious. The roll is buttery and has crispy edges, while the lobster is lightly sauced but it doesn’t take away from making the lobster the star of the dish. Everything here was so fresh and it’s hard to find when it comes to getting seafood in Albuquerque.

The food here is amazing! The quality of the fish is outstanding and they do playful seasonings and sauces. Best lobster roll I’ve had outside of the east coast and the “two handed fish taco” is killer. You can also enjoy beer and wine with your meal! The restaurant is clean and the staff is very friendly.

Really fresh seafood at fair pricing. I tried this week for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised. Various seafood of constantly varying types flown in daily and Eric was more than happy to tell us about each of them. Multiple types of natural sodas on tap and a good local beer selection. I had the power bowl and my friend had the lobster roll and both were freaking awesome! Give it a shot and I think you will be glad you did.

Went on a Saturday afternoon and they weren’t too busy. The cashier really helped us through deciding what we wanted and was friendly and knowledgeable about what they served and the flavors of the food. The starters arrived very quickly and the the food arrived shortly after. Overall, a great experience and delicious food.

Very good. We were pleasantly surprised by how fresh the fish was. The ceviche was not as fresh as I would have liked and only had cooked shrimp and cucumber. But, the fish and chips and fish taco were very good and fresh. I loved the organic soda and tea choices. We will be eating here again.
