This used to be our go to #1 spot. The last few times its just been “meh”. Today while trying to order and add the melted cheese to our dinner (per the bottom of their menu) the waiter said we couldn’t, so we asked for justregular cheese, didn’t get it and didn’t see our waiter again until the bill.

Good food. Atmosphere was a little rough, especially around the bar area. The Mi Ranchito burrito was supposed to include avocado. When brought out it was in the form of guacamole. You’d think a Mexican restaurant would know the difference.

This was the worst Mexican food I have ever had. Chips were stale and salsa tasted like tomatoes with no flavor. Tacos shells were stale and carne asada was tasteless.

I just can’t comprehend how people love this place. The food is bland and the service is atrocious. Having lived in this area for decades, I’ve given this place many different opportunities to show me what everyone raves about. I have never had a good experience here, not even at the original site which I first visited when I lived in crown point and had people telling me this was the place to get great Mexican food ( early 2000s). My last visit was several years ago, my daughter had won a ten dollar gift certificate from the Lowell library, so we decided to, again, give it a try…. It was the last time we ever set foot in this establishment. We ordered some basic dinners; tostadas, tacos, rice, beans, margaritas and a soft drink. Our waitress came, took our order and she never came back. The food and drinks were served by other staff and we never had any further service. I actually had to go up to the cashier and tell them we needed our check because our waitress never returned. The food was bland and the service was the worst I’ve ever had at a restaurant. If you want Mexican food head to any other place because this place is the pits!

Quick and delicious.
I’ve never had a steak (carne asada) taco with actual slices of steak! Shells were not soaked in oil, either. I ordered avocado slices to go with it. Am sad that I live too far away to try out the rest of the menu!

Margaritas are awful, food is blah too. Don’t waste your time or money. Staff isn’t friendly either.

I’ve been eating here since I was a kid. The staff is kind and attentive, the food portions are large and I have enjoyed a lot of what I have tried. Try the mini burritos, botanas tapatias, or fajitas with a Cadillac margarita in the side. Keep a look out for Mi Ranchito at the Labor Day parade. It is a highlight of the day.
