Food is ok for a small town diner, that’s been around for decades. Huge selection of meals, so no focus on a few items. Had breakfast. Biscuits tasted homade and the gravy is typical northern style. Southern will be disappointed. Servers a very polite, but understaffed. Clean place with a 50s/60s decor that hasn’t changed much since it was built. Pancakes were very average, not much flavor.

Typical small town diner with mediocre food. The space is screaming for some TLC, really outdated and unkempt. Also, the menu is FAR too large. It is pages long. Why not serve a few things and do them really well rather than have a laundry list of items that are okay? I asked for a BLT club with avocado. No avocado except on my bill. My husband asked for milk and jam to go with his omelette. No milk, no jam until he reminded her. The potato salad that came with my sandwich was weird. It tasted like it had some sort of cleaner in it, so I didn’t eat it. There were quite a few regulars in there so they have a loyal base. My guess is they go more for the service than the food. Our server was extremely friendly, which is why I gave a better review despite the issues. Overall, it was just a lackluster experience.

If you’re visiting the area for the first time, a local, or just passing through this place is a must have. Great food, fair prices, wonderful atmosphere, and amazing customer service. This is a great first impression of New York at its finest.

Stepping inside feels like a trip back in time with its charming old‑school diner decor. Portions are huge, prices are unbelievably cheap, and the friendly staff make every visit a joy, I love everything about it!

Only ordered what I tallied to be 26 dollars of food based off of their menu. Online everything looks cheaper than it is. They charge me 64 dollars and made me pay for a sandwich I didn’t order the food was okay. Just wish they had their real prices online

First off, WHAT A MENU UPGRADE
There were so many new selections placed on the menu and I had an extremely hard time making a decision on what it was that I really wanted to order. Photos attached include a deluxe beef cheeseburger which has fresh tomatoe, lettuce, mushrooms, red onions, yellow and green peppers with a side of fries. You also have pancakes deluxe which includes eggs, bacon, ham and sausage. I ordered extra bacon instead. Last but not least, the appetizer which was potato skins with broccoli and cheese. THAT WAS DELICIOUS. Don’t get me wrong, EVERYTHING was great from start to finish. S/o to my server NOAH. He was on point with his service. It was pretty crowded and the atmosphere was calm. It’s a great feeling when you walk into a restaurant and pick up the vibes off rip. The servers had it together and you could tell that they all enjoyed working with one another. I’m going back to try other items on the menu soon. The Long Island tea are HITTING.

I Sat down ordered an orange juice. Finished my orange juice and was asked if I wanted another I said yes. I then watched her sneakily pour unfinished orange juice from someone else’s cup into mine and then top it off with orange juice from the cooler. Most disgusting thing I have witnessed at a restaurant I have never even left a review but this needed to be shared. I stayed a bit longer because my food hadn’t even came out yet so I finally got my food and when I got three bites into my scrambled eggs and corn beef hash I bit down and just about broke my tooth on something that looked like an almond in my corn beef hash. I do not know what it was but that was when I decided to just be done and leave. I will not be back.

We eat here every few months when we run out of other ideas. It is what it is, a standard diner with a very large menu. Don’t expect too much other than a moderately acceptable meal. Does seem like home cooking, but in the “not like great restaurant quality” sense. Service can be inconsistent. On more than one occasion, my soup has been forgotten for seemingly no reason (such as not particularly busy times.) The waitstaff clearly writes it down and acknowledges it, walks off, then it just never comes. Sometimes I remind them, other times I quietly wait for my entree and then tell them to make sure the soup is not on the bill. So yes, this has happened multiple times. And it’s often served in a sloppy manner with a very messy, drippy bowl. I order soup in many establishments, and that is not typical. We’ve had dishes dropped near our table, too. It’s also very easy to feel ignored. The staff does the bare minimum, but are not particularly friendly or attentive.
It has a very large dining room and I don’t think we’ve ever had to wait, even when crowded. So the table turnover is good, although sometimes the wait seems too long for even the basic dishes ordered like burgers and sandwiches.

A large variety of items to choose from almost made it difficult to choose I tried the Gyro omelette plate that came with salad and it was really really good. I wasn’t sure how did it first, but I was pleasantly surprised with the delightful way that the flavor is mixed. The waitress was super friendly and despite being very crowded service is quick

I went there with a good friend of mine after we went shopping at ShopRite I thought the food had no taste to it. Overcooked and that is good as a diner and Catskill ambrosia
