After ordering from the girl that seemed like she would rather be doing anything than taking our order (including singing loudly while we were ordering) and spending $80 for 4 people, we get home with our food and disappointment. My daughter ordered banh mi. Girl at the register asked “banh mi what”. Not, “which option would you like in the banh mi” or anything polite/professional/helpful. Daughter said the sandwich thinking they must have some other dishes with banh mi, seeing as how bahn mi is a specific type of sandwich served on a specific type of bread. She got it on a hamburger bun (imagine ordering a cuban and getting it on hamburger bun) . I ordered general’s chicken and my other daughter got sweet and sour. They looked and tested exactly the same. Both had almost no sauce (see picture) so it was basically chicken nuggets with a light drizzle of sauce. Thankfully my wife liked hers (kimchi fries, and some rice dish that I cant recall the name of). Overall a waste of $80. Hopefully it was just an off night considering all of the good reviews and recommendations I had to try this place. Unfortunately for the price, I don’t think I’ll be giving it a second chance

this is one of those places, that make me think of that poem by EB Browning- “how do i love thee.. let me count the ways…”
First of all the food, is always amazing, and they have a little of something for EVERYONE-
the steak wrap, one of the best i have ever had.
the banh mi fries and summer spring rolls are on my weekly diet-
then there are the house made crab rangoons- that you cannot stop eating.
The staff, always pleasant- always so amazing and helpful.
Since i have moved to long beach this is one of our families weekly staples- we are so glad it is in our town! If you are thinking about coming, and never been – let this be your invitation. ❤️

I used to go here 6 years ago and quit. Went back for the first time. It’s disgusting. Prices are astronomical. You want WAY BETTER FOOD and WAY CHEAPER PRICES. go to beachside grill!! Her food is amazing and cheap. I always want more food when i leave to take. It’s mouth watering. Long beach deli is a joke now. The meat on my cheeseburger po boy was so hard i could use it at a hockey game. $40 for food I wouldn’t give to a stray dog.

The only word I can think to describe my interaction with most of the staff is miserable. I dont know what is going on here but the staff is so off putting I couldnt wait to get out of there. We ordered food to go and the first girl who checked us out clearly wanted nothing to do with the process. No hello, no thank you, just rude. Another girl was doing table service outside and every time she walked inside she complained and huffed about having to do so? We had a second transaction since we paid for dessert and drinks separately and the older gentleman was nice and friendly. Over all we spent 60 dollars for the two of us before tip and while the food was good the staff soured the whole experience. I cant imagine dining in there. It actually felt like everyone on staff was just given terrible news or yelled at or something?! I cannot fathom what makes the staff there so miserable. You couldnt pay me to interact with that staff again. Im sorry if this is harsh but it was genuinely so uncomfortable to order and wait for the food due to the attitude of the staff.

Amazing experience all around! The women up front have amazing people skills and make the visit unforgettable. The food tasted so good! I loved the seasonal decorations they put up too! 10/10 will be coming back!

I have been here a few times and I have no complaints regarding the food. I think it’s very good and fresh. However, the customer service at this establishment is horrendous. The workers are incredibly passive aggressive and rude. I will not be returning again, which is a shame because the food is delicious. Management needs to do better. It’s not hard to be nice and welcoming to paying customers!

Love this place! Just tried it out for the first time today – it’s the perfect quick and easy lunch spot! Eat in and enjoy the covered outdoor area or do a quick and easy lunch pickup. Parking was easy and the food was great! They even had grab and go cheesecake (highly recommend) and a huge selection of to go beer, including build your own six pack. Whether you’re stopping with friends, taking a mid day break from the beach or just passing through – don’t miss Long Beach Market & Deli. I will definitely be back!

Good beer selection if you are after a craft beer store in the area. The food was good and the place was busy. My banh mi was great and definitely worth the trip. I will say the staff didn’t give off a very enthusiastic vibe, and the prices were a little high, but I enjoyed the food.

Long Beach Market would be a nice addition to your list of good restaurants on the coast. Not on the beach so no view – and little off the beaten trail but worth the drive. A mix of coastal cuisine and dishes with a Korean influence. Items include summer rolls, tacos, and other Asian inspired dishes as well as Poboys. The front end of the store also sells a very good selection of local craft beer and they also have a nice selection of beers on tap.
Seating is available outside under a large covered patio as well as seating inside.

1st time going here. A friend wnated me to try it. I was expecting something different menu wise but was pleasantly surprised.
My friend ordered pork tacos, which looked very good presentation wise. I actually ordered their general taso chicken, with chicken fried rice, typically comes with crab rangoon or egg roll. I mentioned my allergy, they took extra precaution before preparing ny food even though they were busy. They cleaned the things thoroughly before doing my order which is appreciated.
Now the food I ordered was very fresh, it tasted different then what you get in a asian reaturaunt, the flavors were full and robust very pleasant. Their version is a bit spicier than what you typically get which I loved, I assume they are using traditional red peppers for the spice versus the norm. I didnt care for the rice only becaise it tasted very organic to me and or the egg qhich i dont care for was the culprit. I will go back and 10/10 would recommend
