It said they had a drive-thru, but no one came to the window. So, I ended up going inside. Very dark, outdated, and empty. I ordered the two-meat combo, ribs, and brisket, with fried okra and fries. I also got an order of lemon pepper wings. The food was mediocre at best. The ribs were good but the brisket was tough.

In restaurant visit: ordered beef brisket sandwich and fries for lunch. I asked they try to not give me all grizzle this time based off previous brisket encounters here. The girl taking the order said she would tell the kitchen. When the sandwich came out it was so chewy from so much grizzle and fat, it was not enjoyable. It was so bad that it prompted me to take the sandwich to the counter and show them how fatty it was. I understand brisket has some fat in it usually, but theirs was more fat than meat. If you are used to Missouri or Texas brisket, this will probably not be what you might expect. They made another sandwich for me but when I took the top part of the bun off, it was a big piece of fat again. The kitchen staff didn’t learn from the first attempt. Additionally, the ice machine was jammed full of ice in the ice shoot so I had to get a straw underneath it to unjam it. The air vents on the ceiling appeared to possibly have mold or dirt on them which we all get to breathe. The napkins are at the soda machine area, not at the tables. The BBQ sauces are at the order station, not at the tables or eating areas. There’s no table service here, so know before going in that it’s self service. The floor felt sticky as you walk on it. The girl taking the orders was very polite and friendly , so I appreciated her professionalism. But otherwise, overall, today did not meet my expectations, unfortunately. The first thing you see before entering The restaurant is a bucket filled with used cigarette butts. The decorations and the ceiling near the bathroom had cobwebs strung between them. This makes me question the cleanliness of other things. The trend here based on multiple visits is less than amazing.
This next part of the review is based on take out orders from previous visits:
Three times in about a month or so. The first time was fabulous. Plenty of food. The brisket was perfect. The beans are a bit small though. Second time… The brisket was not wonderful. While I understand there’s always some fat with brisket, this portion was smaller than the time before but also was way too fatty and not much meat. This was very disappointing. The third time was an Uber eats order, placed four days ago. I’m still waiting for that delivery to show up. (The Uber eats person didn’t even try to deliver it . She dropped it off somewhere else and marked it delivered to me (5 miles away). The only way I know where it was really dropped off was because it showed it on my Uber eats receipt. Then the Uber eats person thanked me for my tip on the app, after not even trying to deliver it. Not Georgia Bob’s fault,. But it’s important to let others know about this Uber eats service failure with an order here. I got my money back from Uber eats, including the tip, but two hours later I had to make food at home because of this.

Went here for a presentation so our meal was free. We were happy it was as we been planning to try it out on our own but after this experience we sadly won’t return. The evening started with no clear direction on where to go when you came in and nobody to get you. Upon finding seats, the tables were sticky, many items listed on our limited menu were out, the ice machine ran out of ice for the sodas, my mean came out and they told me at that time there was no sausage and what did I what instead but never brought my other meat. After trying my husband brisket, which was what I requested be the replacement, I decided it wasn’t worth asking for it again.
I enjoyed my pulled chicken, hubby had ribs and brisket to which he said but were tasteless. Loved the Mac n cheese but the baked beans were not my taste at all. Needless to say, we won’t be back and glad this was a free experience.

I’ve been by twice in the last 5 days. I love their chicken salad and Brunswick stew. Stopped by Saturday in their drive thru and sat there 15 – 20 minutes without any help. There is 3 people behind me in the drive thru at this point. I honked my horn a few times out of frustration and running out of patience. The others behind me in the drive thru just left without service. I walk in to see if anyone is working and there is, but all employees are huddled up in a chat group behind the bar (it’s not currently busy at all).
Today I stop by the drive thru again, no one working the drive thru. I only sat in the drive thru honking my horn for 4-5 minutes.
I walk in again to see the bar employee on their phone, and the cashier on her phone as well. Couldn’t see the kitchen employee but I assume the same. No customers inside.
Sad to see a restaurant with good food be destroyed by the staff. No customers inside, customer service skills. No smiles from the staff, but frowns. The previous location on Russell was never this bad, but I don’t know if they’re owned by the same people and if this is just the owners standards now. Seems to me they shut down the wrong location.

There were several people at the bar but no other dining patrons, and we now know why.
Service was great food, not so much.
The ribs tasted old, the pulled pork was mushy and bland.
The sweet potato tots were great as was the mac n cheese.

This establishment is not likely to remain open for much longer. The exterior of the place is extremely run-down and in need of general maintenance. The interior is sticky, outdated, and has a terrible smell. The overall upkeep of the place is poor and embarrassing. The quality of the food is the final straw. The meat is inedible and appears to be microwaved, the fries are fried in old grease, and the Brunswick stew is subpar. I would not recommend this place to anyone, given the condition of the building and the quality of the food. I predict that this place will not remain open for another 12 months.

The last 2 times I’ve been here, I ordered pulled pork sandwiches and either brunswick stew or potato salad. The sandwiches were great – plenty of meat, great flavor, and the bbq sauce was just right. However, the brunswick stew and potato salad – whoever made them seems to really love onions or onion powder because it really over-flavored both of them. I would have given Georgia Bob’s 5 stars, but the overpowered onions in the sides really left a bad taste in my mouth (no pun intended.) I would suggest whoever is making them pull back the onions just a little and they’ll both be “just right!”

Ordered a pick 4 combo and was highly disappointed in the serving size. It all fit in 1 average sized styrofoam tray to include side and bread and there was definitely room for a second helping of all the meat. 30 dollars I feel was wasted.

We did a drive-thru order for bulk pulled bbq. The food took several minutes to be brought out. They only provided four small containers of sauce which was not even close to enough for 3 1/2 lbs of BBQ. The BBQ was good but definitely needed more sauce.

This place’s chicken salad is to die for. BBQ is good. But the wings were awful simply because the ranch was the most disgusting ranch I’ve ever had. Not exaggerating. Do NOT get it.
