Social Profile:

In the French Quarter, at Cane & Table, Chef Alfredo Nogueira’s seasonally-driven, costal inspired menus marry Caribbean flavors with Cuban influences. He takes a straightforward approach and is authentic to both his heritage and the region, utilizing culinary traditions that are now en vogue but that New Orleans cooks have been using for centuries, from whole-animal utilization to preserving and pickling. Our bartenders are not only masters of the classics, but also leaders and innovators in the cocktail community, having enjoyed recognition from the likes of Esquire, Southern Living, and Food and Wine Magazine. Cane & Table was also named a semi-finalist for the James Beard Foundation for ‘Outstanding Bar Program.

Rum-based cocktails & eclectic small & large plates in environs that evoke Old Havana.

Very informal place with great vibe and food! I was worried initially because reservation was easy compared to other places we’ve been to in NOLA, but gladly it turned out real fun. Waitress was genuinely cheerful and helpful, the patio seating was a delight and having a cat visit us a huge plus! Food was really great – sweet plantains were terrific, salad crisp and joyful, fish rundown great , and their take on steak Frits – very refreshing. We also like that they add 20% to ensure pay for servers – we still added a tip as appreciation to the server – she was great – but loved the approach

Dinner for six at Cane and Table in New Orleans, a Caribbean-inspired restaurant and cocktail bar in the French Quarter, offered a romantic “Old Havana” atmosphere with a secluded courtyard. While we are not connoisseurs of elaborate drinks and thus could not fully appreciate the extensive beverage offerings, the food menu, though somewhat limited, provided tasty meals. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to our needs.

Excellent ! Really delicious in all ways, the drinks were fabulous, had no idea daiquiris could come up and not slushed outta machine. The shrimp entree so good and really enjoyed staff and space.

Most likely, probably the best food we had during our weekend trip to NOLA……Unfortunately; I did not appreciate the added/without my consent 20% service charge. Please let me be the one, as a customer, who determines based on the “actual “ service provided, what your tip will be. Other than that; the food was amazing, the atmosphere was relaxed, away from all the mayhem great…. If y oh are looking for a place that offers a different vibe and culinary experience; this is the place….

Cane & Table: A Hidden Gem in the Heart of New Orleans

Tucked away in the French Quarter, Cane & Table delivers a dining experience that feels like stumbling upon a secret oasis. From the moment you walk in, the relaxed ambience wraps around you like a warm breeze—dim lighting, rustic charm, and a vibe that whispers “stay awhile.”

The Food The steak frites were a revelation: perfectly crisp on the outside, tender within, and elevated by a bold chimichurri kick that danced across the palate. Paired with a fragrant side of saffron rice, the flavors were both comforting and adventurous. And just when you think the meal couldn’t get better, the chocolate terrine arrives—rich, velvety, and indulgent without being overpowering. A dessert worth lingering over.

‍ The Service Five stars, hands down. The staff were attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without pretension, and genuinely warm. It’s rare to find a crew that makes you feel like both a guest and a friend.

✨ Final Verdict Cane & Table isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a mood, a moment, a memory in the making. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this unexpected surprise is one worth savoring.

In a street with a ton of options, this was a great place to stumble upon. Amazing ambience with even better cocktails. The fried saltines with the ceviche was a good combo. They also had a specialty shot for the beginning of Mardi Gras!

Stumbled across this place while visiting and was one of my favorite restaurants! The drinks are absolutely amazing. Well balanced, fresh, and creative cocktails. Perfect interpretations of some New Orlean classics. The food was also perfection. Really complex flavors and some of the best plantains I’ve ever had. The website kind of undersells what they do. Really good vibe as well.

I am visiting from Dallas. Chose this venue for restaurant week in NOLA. The atmosphere is dark, quaint, and coquettish. The seating is close, and you are surrounded by lovers, first dates, and long friendships. The food portions were satisfactory, but the menu was so creative. The drinks were phenomenal! Drink of choice that night “New Orleans Jockey Club” – be warned I am a sucker for any drink in a coupe glass.
I was a reservation of one and felt safe and well attended to. My server, David, was the icing on the cake. Absolutely loved his vibe ❤️. Thank you Cane and Table for a memorable visit to NOLA.

Excellent food and drinks. Their seasonal parade drink menu was fun and whimsical. I especially loved their take on a king cake Jell-O shot. Highly recommend for date night or dinner with friends. Vibe is quant & moody. Our served MK was a delight!

This place had a great atmosphere. The staff was mostly helpful and friendly as well. My steak was delicious, but I wasn’t a big fan of my side. My girlfriend wasn’t too impressed with her entree either. I wasn’t a huge fan of the food choices just not my cup of tea and didn’t seem very creole either. Not saying the food was bad necessarily just not our cup of tea. If you go I definitely recommend the steak!
