We enjoyed our dinner at Fish central.
They served an amuse bouche to start our meal.
Fish and chips portion were very generous. Tartar sauce was very tasty.
My only comment would concern the fish skin that was left under the batter, not for my taste.
Service was professional and friendly.

Fantastic meal at Fish central! Our chef was super friendly and attentive, we were given a delicious fish cake as an aperitif on the house. The fish was fresh and perfectly battered, chips were crispy not greasy. We also got the whitebait, which was top notch. We wanted to return, as it was so good, but didn’t have enough days!

The restaurant is located a bit outside the city center, but we decided to try it after seeing a good review. The service was warm and welcoming in a charming local way, which we appreciated as visitors from another country. The food was ok, though it felt a bit underseasoned compared to what I’m used to. Such a nice place, reminds of restaurants near the seaside in holiday places, with a very caring staff and great service. I would like to highlight smiling and positive Sergio and very polite and smiling Givseppe who made our family dinner definitely unforgettable. Fish Central turned out to be one of these places you want to visit again.
Great thanks to the chef and cooks, the food was fresh and perfectly cooked.

Delicious food, great service. We went on a Monday and it was a few diners who all looked like they had been there many times before; service was polite and friendly but not overbearing at all which is a bit of a balance these days. Food was so delicious, my Dover sole was served simple which allowed the quality of the fish to shine through. We were gifted some crab cakes to start with homemade tartare sauce – a very tasty treat, and my Bloody Mary was perfection. The decor feels like going back in time in a good way, I can see why they are still going strong after being open over 55 years.

Celebrated a birthday last night in Fish Central and it was absoultely amazing. The food was delicious, eventhough a long wait for the food as the kitchen was busy. Got complimentary dips and pitta bread. Staff was always making sure the table was OK and if anything was needed. The owner George also provided a birthday cake and the staff sang and put on a celebration show. Would definately recommend this place. Been part of EC1 King Square for years and does not fail to deliver! Thank you to George and the staff!

Was visiting London (the city of my birth) from New York and found myself craving fish & chips. Fish Central is a cut above your average chippie. It’s a fully fledged fish restaurant with an expansive menu and many daily specials on the black board.
The best thing about Fish Central is the service. They were very welcoming, and gave us some fish cakes on the house.
The fish and chips were excellent. I had haddock… very fresh, great batter. Chips were solid. Glass of Pinot Grigio and mushy peas on the side. Just what the doctor ordered.

I made an easy booking via Quandoo for our 4th visit for a Valentine’s meal treat for my wife and I at her favourite restaurant.
We were overjoyed to be welcome back by Rezza and Diego and then surprisingly given the table that we had sat in before creating a welcoming home ambience.
We were quickly served drinks (and free fishcakes) and opted for the offerings of oysters, langoustines, and squid starters. The defined flavours of each accent of the meal, including the salads and sauces, was as exquisite as we’ve come to know on previous occasions.
The only item not available from the specials board was the seabass , but there was still plenty of choices available. My wife took the Brixham plaice and I got the middle skate. Both were very large portions, and we took sides of steamed cabbage, mushy peas and new potatoes. All were delicious.
Extra credit to Diego for humourously and positively engaging us in the menu searching, options and in entertaining little anecdotes.
This restaurant has been here for decades with good reasons. They do what they do to the best of their ability, which is better than anyone else in our opinion.

They also run a takeaway, fish and chip shop to the side of the restaurant. So you could enjoy it in or out, but make sure you treat yourselves soon.
