Took my mom here for lunch. We had the cod sandwich with fries. 2 big pieces of cod, lots of crispy fries. The waitress was super sweet. Beautiful view of the water. Lunch was hot , fresh and reasonably priced.

5 out of 6 of us had prime rib last Sat. One was sent back for being too rare. All of the dinners were tough. Our fault not to complain too much, because we hadn’t seen each other in a long time, and we were trying to get caught up. My dinner had at least 50 % fat. The lights were so low that we couldn’t see how rare our meat was until we got home, we had all ordered medium. We threw it out and called the restaurant on Mon. Mike said he’d look into it and call us. Finally on Thurs a women called and said sometimes when you go out you get a bad meal. Also she claimed no one complained about the prime rib before. We told her we come usually every other month and we wouldn’t be back. She said, that’s our perogative. We didn’t have our normal waitress and we should have complained louder, but there was no apology. It will be a long time before or if we return. A great location, but a poor attitude from management.

After my visit here, I’m convinced people come for the view, not the food. My meal of roasted turkey was bland and tasted like hospital food. My friend in my party had a gluten allergy that they took no special attention to, even though he told the waitress. Unfortunately, there had to be some cross contamination, as he was very ill afterwards.

We had a very pleasant dining experience. Soup, appetizers, salad, and main courses were all very good. Heather, our waitress was attentive and the views of the river were spectacular. My last review, which I deleted, from 7 years ago was a 4 star on the sports bar. I’ve always enjoyed this establishment, weather fine dining, bowling or sports bar.

Wonderful view, excellent service! My husband had the prime rib and enjoyed it very much. We also had the crab cake appetizer which was like a meal! (Three crab cakes over wild rice) We had the French onion soup which was good, however a little bland for my taste. I’ve had better (yes a reference from the movie Liar, Liar) I also had the Caesar salad which was huge! The bread was also delicious! We will definitely come back! Oh and very reasonably priced which was a plus! Try it, you’ll like it! One of the best things I loved was that they had live music!

We were there for a family dinner . Our party consisted of 16 people. 11 adults and 5 kids. The waitstaff was on point. Very attentive and professional. The piano music and ambiance was awesome. The view is great, even in the winter. Food was okay, lacked a little something but was still pretty good. Large portion sizes. The rolls were great.

Arrived shortly after they opened on a Saturday. We requested outdoor seating, which we got. Once we ordered our Clam Chowder and Fish & Chips, we relaxed and enjoyed the wonderful view of St. Claire River from the patio. The Clam Chowder was thick and creamy and delicious. After a short time our lunch arrived with 3 pieces of deep fried cod served with lemon and tartar sauce, plus crisp fries and broccoli. Once we completed our lunch, we walked the beautiful boardwalk from one end to the other.

This is a guaranteed stop for us when we are in the area. The view of the St. Clair River and the vessels that ply the waters, including pleasure craft of all sizes, and the gigantic Great Lakes freighters carrying freight from ports like Cleveland and Toledo, Ohio, Detroit, Chicago, and points in Canada. The food was delicious as always, seafood is a specialty. I had perch, and it was delicious, and my wife had crab cakes and she said they were some of the best she has ever tasted. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was quiet even though it was busy. There is a gathering/party room. My parents celebrated their 65th Anniversary there many years ago.

I’m not sure what was happening with the hostess the night I dined here, but she somehow seemed to think it was my fault that she didn’t have my reservation on her list.
I made a reservation about two months ahead, and received a confirmation call about two weeks out. The caller had asked if I wanted a window table and I said yes, although that wasn’t truly a priority, but a nice bonus.
When I arrived, the hostess walked up and asked if she could help me, no hello, no greeting. I told her I had a reservation. She asked for how many and I said just one. She consulted her list and then told me she had a seat for me, but it wasn’t a window. I said okay and followed her to the table. She hadn’t asked for a name, so I was confused as to whether she didn’t have the reservation or if there just weren’t any window tables open, so when I sat down, I tried to clarify that fact. I asked if they had the reservation and she replied with a burst of an angry tone and raised her voice as well, telling me no, no one gave her any reservations for one person that night. I told her I had received a confirmation call about two weeks prior and only then did she offer a very rough apology, adding that someone hadn’t put my name down for her. She slapped down my menu and walked away, leaving me feeling uncomfortable and a bit unsettled as well.
My waitress was very nice, but the food I ordered was pretty bad. The crab cakes were overcooked and crunchy, the clam chowder was over salted and the clams tasted gritty like they hadn’t been cleaned properly. The shrimp and tortellini was pretty gross, the pasta was chewy and tasteless and there was a mix of vegetables in with it that I didn’t remember seeing mentioned on the menu. The whole mixture was boiling hot in the center like it had been microwaved rather than actually cooked. The shrimp were overcooked, rubbery and stuck to the skewer. They were also served with the tails on, making it odd to eat them amidst the pasta once they were removed.
Even the lemonade cocktail I ordered was watered down, to the point that I could barely determine that there was any alcohol in it at all.
The atmosphere resembles more of a pool hall than the fine dining promoted on the site. The dining room smells musty and staff carry on conversations with guests they know from across the room, shouting over occupied tables to communicate.
Overall, I was very disappointed in this restaurant. I wanted a nice dinner for my long weekend trip in the area and this was not what I expected.
