I ordered Jimmy’s Sampler, ut has a small portion of all 3 flavors of chicken fried steak, regular, jalapeño and green chili. They were very good. My husband ordered the regular chicken fried steak and he enjoyed it said n it had a good flavor and filled him up. Our friend had a small burger with fries and said it was good and just what she needed at the time. Our waitress was friendly, prompt with refills and and bringing our food out. The other staff that we had encounters with were friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was pleasant and cozy. The price was appropriate for what we received. Overall it was very good and we will go back again sometime when we are in that area.

Everything here was great, from a friendly hostess who sat me immediately, to my fantastic server Jaime, who was genuinely friendly and prompt without rushing, to the food which was prepared nearly perfectly.
I ordered a Green Chille Burger with onion rings and an 8oz sirloin with texas toast, pan fried sweet corn and a house salad with balsamic. Jaime was perfect in explaining options and asking my preferences. I was not offered an option for the burger doneness, though, and it came out well done. Maybe that just how they do their burgers, I’m not sure. Either way, it was delicious. Only other thing with the burger was that I asked for no mustard and still go mustard. I’m a ketchup guy with my burgers, but I don’t hate mustard so I didn’t mention the mixup.
The steak was ordered medium rare and came out near perfect. It was delicious on its own, as a steak should be. The sides were all great as well, especially the onion rings, which in most restarts, I find bland and in need of dipping sauce. The batter they use here is perfect on its own.
I even tried their homemade apple cobbler for dessert, and I’m not a dessert guy. It was good, but I’ll try the peach cobbler next time.
Jaime kept my iced tea full throughout my meal and offered me an extra tea to go, which I graciously accepted. The menu said they offer unlimited refills of tea/coffee/water but I only 1 refill of sodas.
Overall, this was the best overall restaurant experience I’ve had in many months, if not longer. So far, I’d say the best in Amarillo(ish). I will certainly be returning here as soon as possible!

I wanted to go somewhere different for a chicken fried steak. I had the jalapeño chicken fried steak. Was nervous about the spice but the waitress offered to put the gravy on the side. I was AMAZING!! Did not like the Texas Toast but everything else was great. Had the banana pudding to go for dessert.

First time coming here because of the reviews. I ordered the jalapeño chicken fried steak and my husband ordered the 14oz steak. For starters the waitress forgot to ask my husband how he liked to steak. When it was brought out it was basically raw. The gravy mix was okay. Definitely not the best of the best. The chicken fried steak you could tell had not been seasoned so it was very bland. Both mine and my husbands mashed potatoes we’re cold. My husband ordered the side salad or shall I say pure iceberg lettuce with two cherry tomatoes and one slice of onion. Definitely one of that sadest “salad” I have ever seen in my life. The ice water tastes like it was scooped out of the toilet. With as much money that this place is bringing in you think that they could at least afford a 5 gallon Culligan water. The plastic cups and the plates are so outdated. I don’t even know if they make them anymore. I was super excited to try this place out but unfortunately it wasn’t our cup of tea and will not return. First impressions are important.

Rustic country atmosphere, friendly service, our glasses never went below half, McKenzie was our server and anticipated our evey need. The food was all homemade and so fresh and hot, my baked potato was steaming still when I packed it in a to go box!

Voted the best and it was. Green Chili Chicken Fried Steak was a good spin on CFS. Great peach cobbler too. Come expecting a line but worth the wait.

Came here with my family the other night, the food was pretty good. Nothing crazy, but where they stood out was our amazing waitress. She took such good care of us and was so sweet to my babies. I love when a waitress will speak directly to my children instead of asking me what they want. I think thats wonderful and so respectful to these little people and really helps them learn. ❤️ she also brought them some crackers to snack on while we waited on our food. pretty awesome and would return just for her service. 🙂
