We had such a lovely experience at Pierre Victoire last night! Our reservation was for 18:45, and was expected to be busy, but we found sitting outside to be more preferable! The atmosphere was lovely, and service was outstanding! Staff always made sure we had the heating lamp on, and were always smiling and just overall lovely to talk to. For food, we had the French Onion Soup with gruyere Croutons, which was very hearty, tasty, and absolutely warming for the weather! For mains, we had the Chargrilled Bavette Steak, classic shallots and mushroom Bordelaise sauce with French Fries, both medium rare, which was cooked to absolute perfection! The meat was easy to cut, very flavoursome, and portioned incredibly well! For drinks, we had two glasses of kir, and to end the evening, we shared a classic banoffee pie, which hit the spot for my sweet tooth! We’d 100% come back again to try the other dishes on the menu, and cannot iterate just how tasty everything was! Thank you for having us!

I love restaurants that are elegant and stylish without being showy, and this one was exactly that. I’m so happy we found it and had the chance to experience it. The food was so good that I highly recommend trying it. We love Rioja wine, and having it with our meal made the evening even more wonderful. We also ordered entrecote steak, and it was cooked just the way I like it. I usually have trouble with that, but not here. I forgot to take a photo of it because I immediately started eating 🙂 The place has two floors, and both are really lovely. Just take whichever floor you’re given and enjoy it.

Delicious French meal, perfect for a dinner with friends post theatre. Great location, close walking distance from most theatres and other central attractions. We were celebrating a friends birthday and they treated us to a little song to help celebrate. Service was friendly and efficient. Great wine list too.

This was a really pleasant surprise- it was a last minute booking and I was dining solo. The French onion soup was excellent, and the Moules Mariniere fresh and flavoursome. I’d definitely return.

Wha a delight this place is! Right near The Nellie Dean, a pub I love, a great location. Food was absolutely delicious, absolutely singing with flavour and lots of seasoning. Dishes were skillfully cooked and presented (halibut beautifully done, clearly butter-basted), pricing much fairer than many similar restaurants (including the wine – nothing’s cheap now, but the options were appreciated and the Cotes du Rhone lovely), and all the staff were so friendly, polite and professional. I want to thank the staff/chefs as this was a birthday dinner for my partner, and she loved it as well!

What a fantastic restaurant. We visited to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary with friends. Fantastic venue, wonderful staff and deeeelicious food. Totally recommend.

We really like the restaurant, the food is delicious and the prices are very good, specially the set menu. The only thing is that because it’s usually full the tables are far too close to each other and the noise level is high. The service is excellent.

This is one of the best restaurants i have ever been to. The staff, the food and the ambiance are all just wonderful. I will keep coming back, and taking different friends each time.
