Patravali is hands down the best Indian restaurant in Cancun area. I would say it is better than the most Indian restaurants in US.
We dined here in February 2026 when we were in Cancun.
The food is amazing and service is top-notch. We sat outdoors in the open area which was lovely.
We ordered Ragada papadi chaat, Paneer Tikka masala, Poblano Punjabi Jodi (Stuffed poblano peppers in gravy) and Tandoori roti. Every dish was exceptional, and cooked perfectly.
They also have excellent cocktails and mocktails.
I highly recommend Patravali if you happen to be in Cancun.

After indulging in all-inclusive meals at Moon Palace, we ventured out for a city tour and stumbled upon Patravali, a hidden gem serving authentic Indian cuisine. We weren’t disappointed! Also, the ambiance is great.

– Ragda Papdi Chaat: FANTASTIC, a flavorful explosion!

Having extensively searched the Yucatan peninsula for a genuine Indian restaurant (and being disappointed by a very mediocre one in Merida) we decided to try this one out, which was a short walk from our flat.
The menu was extensive, and we ordered a small selection of dishes. Every dish was flavoursome, well presented and served professionally by waiters who were attentive, yet discreet in the background.
The authentic taste of each dish even exceeds that of high-end Indian restaurants in the UK and other restaurants we’ve tried worldwide. I would recommend this establishment to any foodie who loves Indian cuisine – visited in Feb 2025.

We ordered the Humpty Dumpty, Shaam Savera, and the poblano dish from the chef’s specials, and choosing those items was an excellent decision. Each dish was freshly prepared, flavorful, and exceptionally well executed. Everything was absolutely delicious and truly stood out.

Patravali truly blew us away. This is hands down the best veg food I’ve had in all of North America.
We ordered Tawa Sabzi and Shaam Savera, both were absolutely lip-smacking and packed with authentic flavors. The Saffron Lassi was to die for… rich, refreshing, and perfectly balanced.
A special shoutout to Fer, our waitress. She was warm, attentive, and made the whole experience even better.
We are definitely coming back.

Absolutely 5 stars for this fantastic Indian restaurant in Cancun! The food was incredibly tasty and truly brought out the authentic flavors of India. Every dish we tried was well-prepared, flavorful, and served hot. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable — excellent value for money.

If he is comfortable to follow western culture we dont have any problem but he is waiter and he was having problem with our culture.
