Hours mean nothing at this place. They close whenever they feel like. Sometimes they close two hours before closing time, sometimes half an hour but if it’s within an hour of closing don’t even bother going because even if they’re in there, chances are they wont answer the drive thru anyway. They leave everything lit up and the menus on because they’re suppose to be open but they either will stop answering the drive through and still be inside or I’ve seen them leave even a full hour before closing. This isn’t a one time thing but very very common for this place. I’ve never seen another McDonald’s any where in the country that just closes whenever ever the hell they feel like. It’s multiple nights a week they do this. I don’t know why they bother even posting hours because they don’t go by them and instead close whenever they decide they don’t want to do their jobs anymore. It’s kind of ridiculous. Place is a joke.

Reading my last update, this visit was a hit Feb. 2023. The two for six dollars crispy chicken sandwiches and the hot cinnamon bun with cream cheese icing were enjoyed.

This place is so hit or miss. It’s a true 50-50 chance drive thru. When it’s good, it’s good. When it’s bad, it’s bad. Two McDoubles ordered with no cheese were placed in the bag with receipts stapled to the wrappers that specified no cheese. Opening them, they both had cheese. Fail. Something packaged correctly, was my crispy chicken sandwich. After my recent BK experience, I had to try another chain for comparison. Meh. Three tiny pickles on top of a fried piece of chicken was very bland and not worth ordering again.

Wow! Whoever was in the Winsted McDonalds 12/29/19 around 4pm making the food gave us the worst fast food to go order we’ve ever had at any McDonalds nationwide over decades!!
I don’t think it was because we used a coupon for two Big Mac’s for five dollars, as we’ve used their coupons before and the food is just as it would be if purchased full price. Maybe our request to have one of the Big Mac’s put on a seedless bun threw off the employee. I should have photographed them.
Both of the Big Mac’s came with seedless regular buns, not one, one had no center roll at all in between the burgers, neither had cheese or pickles, one had no special sauce and the other maybe a half a teaspoon, little onion at all on either, and then both were doused with lettuce to the point it was all over the inside of the box, as well. Holy cow. We definitely have no desire to eat another Big Mac anytime soon, as a result.
This person should not be in the kitchen!
So for this one visit at this particular McDonald’s, I would give it just one star. As I write collectively below about McDonald’s as a chain, I give it four stars.

Overall, the only comment I can make about McDonald’s is what would most of us do without it? It provides a great service to those on the road, in a hurry or simply famished. Now that they’ve finally added all day breakfast to the menu, something I thought they should have done for decades, it’s even better. Prices vary. Amazingly, a customer can drive thru or walk in and get a value item meal for a buck, but regular orders, either alone or mixed in with the values, can add up to twenty bucks for three.

I’ve tried this location 3 separate times over the last year at the end of 2 hour plus drive home. First 2, used app to get curb side pickup. Food was OK but waited an unbelievable amount of time for a very simple order. Today, used app for drive thru pick up. Faster, but fries tasted like they sat around awhile, then got warmed up. I was driving and hungry, so regretfully, I ate them. They are sitting like stone. I can’t eat the burger since fries will apparently not move. Never again.

I’d say 9 out of 10 time they don’t get my order right. I ordered 2 cheeseburger Happy meals with just cheese and pickles. As you can see in the pic, not only did we not get pickles, but they put ketchup on it. I also ordered a quarter pounder with cheese and no bun. It has no sauce or other toppings other than lettuce and pickles. And the receipt clearly says no ketchup, onions or mustard!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Nearly every visit to this location results in an issue with either the food or the service. Most recently, I waited over 15 minutes for a Big Mac and had asked for a refund. I no longer even wanted the food, I was told I would receive a refund and be on my way, but instead, I was held in the drive-thru without communication and made to wait even longer.
I understand that mistakes can happen, but this level of disorganization is unacceptable. The manager on duty, Devon, was unhelpful and only made the situation worse. I sincerely hope this feedback reaches someone who truly cares, because this location is in serious need of support and direction.

Have the app, they were running special of spend a dollar and get free medium french fries . Received my order and amount of fries was pretty skimpy; see picture. They should just say get a free small if this is all they want to give you.

Haven’t been here for awhile since they screw everything up, so I just wanted to check and see if they are doing any better…. Which they are not! Ordered sausage and eggs online…. Guess what’s missing? (Added pic of “sausage and eggs”)

Extremely slow… not enough help on for a Saturday afternoon. Girl at drive thru insisted that they don’t put equal into coffee for you. She is the only McDonald’s employee that has ever said this. SMH… then went in for something I forgot and waited 10 min for a cup for drink… this is the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. UPDATE: this is their fantastic parfait… What a RIP off… and no granola with it…JOKE!!!!
