We didn’t have a reservation, so the wait for a table was about an hour—but from the way the parking lot was packed, I had a feeling it would be worth it… and it absolutely was. While we waited, we headed to the bar where I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Michelle. She was fantastic from start to finish. Despite how busy it was, she never seemed flustered. She kept a smile on her face and truly set the tone for my party’s night.
I started with the Black Tie Margarita—delicious! Michelle mentioned that espresso martinis were her specialty, so I couldn’t resist trying one. I’m so happy I did—it was great!
For appetizers, we had the oysters (my first time trying them, and I’d definitely do it again), the lobster and crab cake—which had way more meat than I expected and was so light and flavorful—and the calamari, fried to perfection. I usually need extra sauce with calamari, but with all the flavor it had, nothing else was needed. The Korean BBQ bacon was also fried perfectly, with just the right fat-to-meat ratio, and the BBQ sauce was a perfect finishing touch.
After a while, we were called to our table. There was a slight moment of confusion because we needed to close out our bar bill before being seated, and Sophie seemed a bit annoyed—but once we got settled, everything flowed smoothly. Matthew was our waiter, and Carl (who we also met at the bar) made sure we were well taken care of.
I ordered the surf and turf with a bone-in steak (I forget the exact cut), and it was cooked perfectly to my liking—tender and melted in my mouth with every bite. The African lobster tail was the best-tasting lobster I’ve had thus far. We also tried the sautéed spinach, which had the perfect amount of garlic, and the sizzling mac and cheese. The breadcrumbs weren’t my favorite part, but it was still very good—just a little different from what I’m used to. The bread and butter were a nice touch as well, even though I didn’t get a chance to fully enjoy them because I was focused on my entrée once we were seated!
Michelle, Carl, and Jarvey are truly great additions to your restaurant. They were warm, welcoming, and exemplified the core values of your business. Every staff member I encountered had a smile on their face and genuinely looked like they wanted to be there and enjoyed what they do. I commend whoever is responsible for hiring—great job!
The energy was amazing from the moment we walked in. I had such a wonderful time celebrating my birthday with your establishment. I would absolutely give it a 10/10 and I’m already looking forward to coming back again!
Dinner was fantastic — everything from the appetizers to the entrees was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The service was attentive without ever feeling rushed. It was such a memorable evening, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend for any occasion!
Our server, Jairo, was absolutely outstanding, as was every staff member we encountered. For starters, we enjoyed the garlic shrimp and the crab & lobster cake—both were phenomenal. For entrées, we had the filet medallions with lobster tail and the New York strip. Each was cooked to perfection, though the lobster tail was the standout favorite of the night.
To make the evening even sweeter, I was treated to a birthday dessert of creamy cheesecake and a decadent flourless chocolate espresso cake—both were incredible! I even brought an extra slice of cake home to keep the celebration going.
With a signature cocktail, a couple of beers, impeccable service, and flawless food, the final bill came to $268—a fantastic value for such quality. This was truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. I’ll absolutely be back for my next birthday! ✨
Absolutely. That’s a yes for me ↕️
Ok so if everything was so fantastic why only 4 stars. When I reviewed the bill, it had suggested amounts for the tip. I was shocked that the suggested tips were based upon the total bill including tax. Heck IHOP doesn’t even do that. Why should I pay a tip on tax! This just left a bad taste in my mouth from a high end restaurant that seemed like a money grab, detracting from a very nice experience.
