Reviews
This time, I chose something different from what I usually order.
Everything was very good, and the portions are big enough for two people.
My choices were:
Totopos and Enchiladas Rojas de Pollo.
The place is spacious and very family-friendly, with many families dining with their kids.
Not your typical Tex-Mex restaurant, Flores provides dishes and flavors from Mexico. Don’t expect a steaming skillet of fajitas, a crispy taco shell filled with ground beef, or a chile relleno that’s fried and filled with cheese.
Instead, you’ll enjoy lighter and more vibrant flavors. My chile relleno, stuffed with mushrooms and spinach, was amazing… but the guajillo sauce pooled around it was the real star of the plate. The sopes were very tasty. My wife enjoyed a salad with carnitas — I’m not sure you’d commonly find a dish like that in Mexico, but it was refreshing and had flavors that were authentically Mexican.
Came on a semi busy Saturday night, was seated quickly!
Hostess was kind!
My server only came to me after about 10 minutes of me trying to flag her down.
Ceviche was SWEET! Didn’t know that part.
Taco was delicious!
Their strawberry margarita was amazing too, v well balanced and not too sweet. Lived people watching and getting some sun in their outdoor seating.
We tried a bunch of different foods, and all of them were great, but the standouts to me were the plantains and the empanadas. If I had to pick a dish to skip, then it would be the tacos, although they were still good.
They also make a good margarita, went for the classic one and it was tasty. I will recommend this place to everyone, but be careful of your spending, the bill can get quite high quickly.
