Naomi was wonderful, our steak was delicious and the environment was pretty relaxed. We had all our food within 10 minutes of ordering and Naomi was very attentive. 10/10 will come back again

Great food! Great service! They held our reservation and got us our table as soon as we arrived. Booth seats were a little tight to the table, designed for very skinny people and uncomfortable for larger folks but we made it work. Steak was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Loved coming here.

Food was hot and fresh. We shared a burger and it hit the spot. The classic vibes in here are fun. Our martini was a little extra sweet, tasted like lemonade.

We love the Steer. It’s our “go to” place.
It’s a 1960’s original classic Loveland steak house. It’s not a chain. It’s a good date night restaurant if you want to actually talk to your date or companion.
As far as the Chex on the salad, that was a ’60s thing & we love it!
We love the quiet, cozy ambience. The food is awesome & we’ve always had great service.
The bar is special too!
Very enjoyable restaurant. Don’t change anything.

The greatest part of the experience of “The Black Steer” is the incredible staff and their amazing hospitality! The restaurant offers a wonderful atmosphere that is comfortable and peaceful. The cuisine is always consistently great without fear of trying anything new from the menu. All of this combined is what has grown me into a regular repeat customer with nothing more than positive remarks for the entire experience. Thank you very much to the entire staff of “The Black Steer” for your incredibly hard work and continued remarkable experience.

I do not recommend coming here. Came here to celebrate our anniversary and was disappointed. My steak was bland, the mac and cheese tasted like it came from KFC, and the service was horrible! The only thing that didn’t take over an hour to arrive at our table was the check. Do not know who our waitress was, since she never gave her name. We sat right behind the bathrooms.

Food is not good. The pepper steak was so tough the steak knife could barely cut it. It was also very dry. I can make a WAY better steak at home. Service was fine, as expected. Not amazing, but not terrible either. If you’re going to go out to eat, there are many better options. I don’t know how this place has been around so long. I don’t recommend.
