So happy The Strawberry Hut came up in our search for a great local place when in Plant City. We ordered a Cuban Sandwich “all the way and pressed” it was delicious. We realized why they won best Cuban sandwich for last 16 years. The milkshakes were phenomenal!!! My husband had strawberry. I had strawberry banana. Both were so yummy, creamy with bits of fruit. It’s a walk up order with outside seating. We enjoyed talking with “the locals” who were so helpful with the area information. Hope we can come back someday.

Ordered a Philly and a turkey Cuban and both were amazing I can’t tell you which I prefer really one of the best sandwiches in Tampa and I also ordered a shortcake which was very delicious moist and fresh.

I went to this place to get a vegetarian Cuban even though I was on a strict diet, but I really wanted this Cuban. So I originally ordered a 4 inch cuban( which I wish I would have gotten)however the cashier upsold me. She was very nice and I really wanted one of these Cubans so I upsized to 8 inch. The decision to upsize was a horrible decision. This is what I was served and it is unacceptable. This was their version of a veggie sub. No cheese, no tomatoes, 2 olives, 2 onions (I requested extra onions) . I can’t believe this was $8. Not to mention I drove far to this establishment. When I made it back home to eat, this is what I was served. Strawberry hut I’m so disappointed in you. If you were out of items you could have notified me and I could have change my order or went somewhere else where they appreciate their customers and quality of food that’s served. Check your food before leaving if you go here. It was nothing special about this Cuban. This was basically a mayo sandwich with a hit of bell peppers. I could have made this at home, yet I drove 45 min there and 45 min back home for this. I couldn’t even sleep last night thinking about this. I’m beyond disappointed and dissatisfied. As a food provider and a business owner it’s somethings you shouldn’t do. Eating out is not something that most people can do all the time and as a customer if I chose to patronize your business, you would think that it would be a great experience. It’s no way this place is winning awards for the best Cubans. I truly do miss @Publix honey butter pressed Cubans. They would have NEVER gave me this type of experience. This sandwich tells me everything I need to know. This place does not care about the customers. It’s about the money. I can’t even review the milkshake bc I’m stuck on my sandwich.

OK, I see why this place was voted 17 years in a row Best Cuban it is really very thick full of meat. Everything is proportionately distributed perfectly and it tastes phenomenal. Please don’t come to Plant City without trying this place. I know it looks like a little hole in the wall, but they got some of the best food.

I want to start by saying that I’ve always enjoyed the food at Strawberry Hut and have generally had good experiences with their service. Unfortunately, my recent visits, and especially today’s, have been very frustrating.
I placed an online order as I normally do and arrived about 10–15 minutes later for pickup. After giving my name at the counter and being acknowledged, I waited another 15 minutes. During that time, multiple orders placed in person after mine were completed and handed out. I returned to the counter to ask about my order and was asked to wait again. After a total of roughly 45 minutes, I finally asked how much longer it would be, at which point the employee noticed my sandwich and handed it to me.
While the wait alone was disappointing, the bigger issue came once I got back to work, my pressed Cuban was completely cold and soggy. I immediately called the restaurant and was told my only options were to bring the sandwich back or receive 10% off my next order. Returning wasn’t realistic since I was already back at work.
This experience felt extremely disorganized and reflected a lack of concern for customer service. To be clear, I have no complaints about the food itself when it’s prepared and served properly. However, between the excessive wait, overlooked order, and unsatisfactory resolution, I’ll likely be taking my business elsewhere. I’ll pass on the 10% discount.

Ok , ok , ok , this was my first visit and definitely not my last. ! I ordered the Turkey Cuban pressed with (honey butter), Lg pink lemonade and salt/vinegar chips and boy after one bite I was hooked. Thank you for great food and a pleasant atmosphere.

The Strawberry Hut is a restaurant in Plant City, FL a known for their Cuban sandwiches. The vibe is entirely outdoors, and has a few benches to eat at. There’s a cat that comes around that is extremely friendly. The service is also friendly, although they misheard my order and got me a sandwich with just cheese on it.
However, the food is very good, at a good value. The average breakfast sandwich is around $4, and the taste is very good: I like the taste of the cheese, bread, and the sausage. Overall, I would recommend stopping at this place.

Come here often. Sandwiches are good. But the people are most of the time very rude and ordering on line is a joke. They serve the people making orders at windows first and I think they forget online orders

Usually I love this place been coming here for yrs although it’s about 45 min to an hr. drive away from me. I eat here often because their sandwiches are delicious and their customer service is usually A1. However today a nice lady named Roberta took my order by ph and I explained I wanted use my bday coupon (since I’m a rewards member) which she said was fine to present it at pickup. But when I tried my coupon we realized it had expired a day prior. When we spoke to Jill (the manager) she basically shrugged it off and told me it was nothing she could do.That once the coupon is out of the system that was it. I didn’t fuss or argue back I just paid for my sandwiches and left. But I won’t support them anymore nor will I encourage anyone else too. Yes their food is good but that’s not how you treat a customer whose driven an hr away and has patronized your business for years in my opinion.
Update: I spoke with Betty and she made everything right! She apologized and was very empathetic and did what she could to make things right although it’s been a couple months since my bday and review. Food was NEVER the issue still delicious and customer service is still A1. I’m happy I reached out!
