Hot Tin Roof features a relaxed elegance with dramatic water and sunset views. Its menu is highlighted with a mix of seafood and landfare prepared in a unique culinary style dubbed as conch-fusion, a mélange of tastes and fragrances, combining traditional Florida foods with Latin, Caribbean and tropical influences.
Charming seaside eatery with open-air patios serving up a menu of Latin American-style small plates.

This was, by far, the BEST food/service/dining experience in Key West! First, the atmosphere (including the sunset) was spectacular. Gorgeous decor and very upscale without being intimidating or pretentious! Next, our server, Jackie, was INCREDIBLE. Professional, knowledgeable, so kind and friendly and really elevated our dining experience. Her knowledge of the food and preparations really helped us decide on our dinner choices. She anticipated everything we needed and the timing of drinks/apps/wine/dinner/dessert was perfect Now, the food!!!! Incredible we had brussels and the beet salad to start as well as the bread service (highly recommend). Entrees included 2 salmon, swordfish and the shrimp…all truly outstanding. We rounded out dinner with key lime pie (incredible), but the star was the bread pudding…..WOW! Divine! This is a MUST when in town!

Lovely restaurant. My wife took me here for my birthday when we were visiting Key West.
The atmosphere was excellent, beautiful views of the bay. Unfortunately it was overcast so we didn’t get a beautiful sunset, but this certainly wasn’t the fault of the restaurant. The one thing that distracted from the atmosphere was the loud music coming from the adjacent boardwalk. We love live music (we were actually visiting Key West on a Sandy Beaches music cruise), but this was so loud it made conversation somewhat difficult. Not the restaurant’s fault but it did detract from an otherwise fantastic atmosphere.
Our server, Andrei, was excellent. He made great recommendations, was very attentive during the service, and was both friendly and professional.
I ordered the plantain encrusted swordfish and Stacy ordered the crispy yellowtail (accompanied with coconut rice, maduros, and a cilantro sauce). Everything was delicious and well prepared. The swordfishwas a lottle “rare,” but it is always better slightly undercooked than overcooked. For dessert we shared the chocolate trea leches which was fabulous.
Overll it was an excellent birthday meal.

From the service and ambiance to the food, everything met the expectations of an upscale restaurant. The dishes were beautifully prepared. My Pork Shank Osso Buco was incredibly tender, and my husband’s Plantain Crusted Swordfish had a perfect balance of texture and flavor. We also loved the Roasted Cauliflower and Crispy Brussels Sprouts, both were excellent sides.

I came with my boyfriend and my friend for my birthday’s brunch. Kim G was absolutely extraordinary. Her service was truly unmatched—professional, warm, and attentive to every detail. She made the entire experience exceptional. I would definitely return, especially because of her. Thank you, Kim, for such outstanding service!

Booked a reservation here for our last night after hearing how great it was. Three of us took a tapas style approach and ordered many small plates, drinks, a salad and two entrees. Everything was amazing, we sat at 5:30 and watched the sunset. For dessert I debated the Cuban bread pudding or the tres leches; the waitress recommended the bread pudding and it was genuinely the best dessert of my life. Muchas gracias Jackie!!!! And thank you chef Charity

Visited the Hot Tin Roof for Sunday Brunch to celebrate my birthday. I was in for a surprise that I never expected!! First, Kim G is a superstar and pure gold! ✨ She made my birthday so special and was so much fun to talk to. Just was running circles in that place ensuring all her tables were taken care of and even with how busy it was I never once felt like her attention to her table was ever out of her sight!
The food!!! Small plates brunch is a whole different experience and one there everyone she enjoy! I left full, but not like I needed to take a nap! As a foodie the presentation and flavor of all the plates were on point!
Sitting outside was the best! I thought with being dressed up as one should do on their birthday I was going to melt in the Key West sun and heat, but the fans and warm breeze off the water made for the perfect afternoon!
Thanks again Kim G!! Until next time!

Great experience. Been several times. Swordfish is perfect lambchop and salmon are very good too. The desserts are delicious. Make a reservation way ahead of time if possible. At sunset preferably on the terrace. Extensive wine list and excellent service. Presentation is delightful.

The dinner experience my wife and I had at Hot Tin Roof was amazing from the beginning to the end. The hostess Wendy gave us the best table at the restaurant; outside, perfect water view. Our waiter Chad was very knowledgeable of the menu and provided excellent service. My wife and I shared appetizers, the lobster bisque which was phenomenal. It was different from any other lobster bisque I ever had and the skirt pork was outstanding. My wife’s salmon was cooked perfectly. The red sauce was phenomenal and the crispy skin on the salmon was perfect. My swordfish was one of the best I ever had, the swordfish did not have any dark spots on it and cooked to perfection and the poblano tequila sauce was phenomenal and Amazing.

Hot Tin Rooftop is perfect for sunset drinks with a view. The atmosphere is vibrant and stylish, the cocktails are creative, and the service is attentive. Great for a laid-back evening enjoying Key West from above. I loved every bit of it here

This review is based on 26 years of visiting Key West and dining out around town. The server at this restaurant was the least attentive server we have ever had in Key West. We were seated for a while before the sever even stoped in to take our drink orders. Unfortunately he disappeared after that for a bit only to return with the drinks but just to drop them and take off again. Another 10-15 minutes until he returns and asked us if we had enough time with the menus and if we could place our orders. Mind you we had now watched multiple tables sat after us get their first courses and it was 5pm. He didn’t offer any additional information about the restaurant or meals, then seamed bothered by our questions regarding plate size and menu options. I’m not sure if there were any specials last night , but if there were, we were not offered them. The timing of the plates were horrible, being delivered at odd times with large gaps between service. We were never asked if the meals were prepared to our liking or if we wanted any other drinks or menu items. Also let me point out this restaurant is one of the most expensive in town, and the service is better at Wendy’s . Unless your desperate for a sunset dinner… skip this place for now! I would suggest latitudes (same price much better views and professional servers) The gratuity we left was the lowest we’ve ever left and was difficult to do, but it reflected the service that we received.

The rude response from the restaurant is unfortunate and not accurate .. now let me tell you how I was contacted by the manger and welcomed back. (I wouldn’t have returned if I had read their response tho.) The implication me and my guest are not familiar with multiple course meals is a sad way of saying I’m not cultured .. What they’re really trying to say is little people like me can’t appreciate such things… anywho here is the deal , I went back.. And my meal was graciously paid for by the restaurant … And guess what not only was my meal excellent but the server was also excellent , Attentive and knowledgeable , We were not delayed in getting beverages. We are not delayed in getting our courses and my first course was not delivered along with my main as it was the first night …. She explained the menu , explained the courses and explained the restaurant, even explaining how the sunset was going to unfold. None of this was shared on the first night. It’s unfortunate the person controlling their SM decided to lie , insult and then defend a staff member who was very poor at their job. This could have gone a much different way and you could have earned a customer for life… Oh well .. guess little people like me won’t be welcomed back… being so uncultured and all.. this isn’t the Key West I fell in love with 🙁
