Was this carry-out? I don’t think I’ve seen any restaurant making peppers such as this. But that pad Thai though, looks good.

Spring rolls were so so so so bad, 1st bite is all mint, second is only carrot, last bite is all noodles. Even got the special one since the website boasted being the best in the twin cities but that is CLEARLY and severely incorrect. Oof.

What a treasure this place is. I’ve been going to Rascal’s family restaurant for over a decade and I had never tried Taste of Thaiyai which is next door. Frankly, I actually prefer this Thai place over Rascals now.

The food is excellent and generous. The Tom Yum was Yummy. The spring rolls were excellent. The wings were perfect. The beef curry was very complex and tasty. Also had the shrimp salad and it was fresh and light.

They were very busy for a Wednesday evening and there were a lot of take out orders as well. The entire restaurant was full yet the staff was friendly and professional. The service I give a solid A+

My only regret is not having tried Taste of Thaiyai sooner. Exceptional.

I’ve been here for another 8-10 times since my first review. This place has continued to be consistently good and has even gotten better. Tonight we had the Tom Kha, special spring rolls, duck curry, beef curry and it was all excellent. Service is friendly and quick. A+ again!

After dining the last 3-4 times, the food has remained excellent however the service has taken a massive nose dive. Tables are dirty. Service is unfriendly and uncaring. I feel bad for the cooks in the back making great food while the staff up front are failing miserably. Will not go back till they change.

The quality of their food is diminishing over time. Today was just the lowest of low. It was dry and flavorless. The beef…. Just hope you have good choppers…

First time here and the food was great. Had the Green Curry with Chicken and it wasn’t greasy or overly salted and had just the right amount of spice to it. Eggrolls were average and a bit over fried.

Also, their online menu is a bit out of date. I tried to order the #17 Stuffed Bamboo Shoots eggroll and the woman said they don’t carry that anymore. Not sure if it’s temporary, permanent or when that change was made, but could/should be updated. Carryout order and the woman was very friendly when I picked up and paid.

I ordered a basil and onion fried rice and they gave me this. The rice was a weird sort of greasy and the chicken was dry and unseasoned. None of the other ingredients that make up a basil and onion fried rice were included.

I’ve never seen a restaurant go downhill this badly.

Coming back from a recent trip to Thailand, I can say the food is top notch and reasonable. Just don’t expect a high end atmosphere, this is not a ambience type of place. If you like good Thai food this is the place. Highly recommend.

What a treat! Lovely people serving awesome food.

It is the little details that tell you how good a place is. The delightful dipping sauce with crushed peanuts that accompanied the spring rolls was layered with flavors and textures (vs. the usual sweet slurry in many joints). The Tom Yum had just the right level of tartness and was a big hit even with the kids.

The staff is courteous and attentive- they nailed the spice level for each one of us. This is five stars for the value for money (shrimp entree was still at $15.99 after all the recent inflation) combined with the service and food quality. The decor is spartan but it’s neat and clean.

Came a couple weeks ago before going to the Jack-o-lantern Spectacular and ordered takeout. Food was very good. They gave us an extra pad thai but forgot the cream cheese wontons but made it out quickly. We really enjoyed the chicken eggroll and wontons. The workers were very nice. Will be back to dine in.

First visit – we waited near the entrance for 9-10 minutes until someone told us we could have a seat at any table. We were not given menus for over 10 minutes. Once we ordered, we received our appetizers and my food in a very quick time frame – within 15 minites of ordering, however the rest of my family waited over 45 minutes to receive just 2 of their meals which made this a bad experience for our first visit. They did comp 1 meal from our bill, and sadly we did not have extra time to have them sit and enjoy their meal as we had spent an hour of waiting. The staff was very friendly – just miscommunication between the servers and cooks.
Cream Cheese puffs are awesome!

I believe the long time owner sold the restaurant a few years back? Most likely why seeing other reviews of decade customers no longer coming back due to lack of flavor and service.

Ordered papaya salad to go 20 min later the order wasn’t even ready upon arriving. The beef jerky was over cooked and hard.papaya looked like it was just shredded and poured sauce over with lack of flavor. Won’t be returning.
