We have been by this restaurant several times and always noticed a good number of customers. We decided to try it for dinner. The parking area is large. The building is clean inside and out and nicely decorated. My wife ordered the chicken amd dumplings with mac and cheese and the macaroni salad. She bragged the chicken and dumplings was the best she has ever had. I dont usually like chicken and dumplings but i am going to have it the next time we go. It was delicious. I had the country fried steak with black eyed peas and lima beans. The steak was amazing it had no gristle or fat. The breading and seasoning was delicious. The white gravy was great. The limas and peas were well seasoned and were great. Our dinner came with cornbread.
This is going to be a go to place for us when we are going through this area and will be someplace we go out of the way to get to.

Shhh…. This is a great stop. Open 6am – 9pm. Great food. Great prices. Portion size is more than enough. If you leave here hungry it’s your own fault. I had the country fried steak and the Mrs. Had the meat loaf. Stop by and get some.

Great service. Inviting atmosphere. My friend from Florida met me here. It’s worth the drive to be treated kindly. The food was great! Loved your home cooked potatoes Yum!! This little restaurant in Hartford, Al is a gem. I stopped in for breakfast on a trip to Florida and liked it so much I routed my return trip to pass by there a week later for lunch. The food and service were excellent both times. The portions are good and the prices are reasonable. Good homestyle cooking.

We were passing through and stopped for a late lunch. I had breakfast, my eggs were cooked just the way I like them, home fries were perfect. My wife must have been hungry or the sandwich was delicious. Don’t hesitate I don’t think you’ll be disappointed !

Stop here on our way home. Waiter was great!! Kitchen lost our food ticket. Watched plate after playe go out to tables sat way after us. Waiter finally got to the problem and stated they were making our food immediately. Watched 2 other tables get their food then finally brought out 3 of the 4 plates to our table. Watched more food come out before I’d seen enough and left. My family brought my food out and the picture shows what I waited over an hour for. No desire to stop again for uncooked fries and the smallest reuben sandwich ive ever seen.

Michelle was fantastic!! She took great care of us from the moment we arrived. Everything we had was perfectly cooked, seasoned and absolutely delicious. A hearty, homestyle, country meal. Can’t wait to return again and again.

There was not a parking spot available when we pulled in, but because service moves quickly, we didn’t have to wait long to find one. There is parking on grass area. Because I had never been here, I asked how long the wait time was, and I was surprised she said 15 minutes.
Everyone was so friendly, and smiling. You can tell everyone loves to work there, and are close “family-like.”
Food was amazing, and they have GREAT coffee which is a bonus.
Our waitress was superb. Fast service, great portion of food. Even the locals who probably come to eat here a lot were friendly. I will definitely make this a must go back place to eat at often!
