We had to get the slopper which is an apparent staple in Pueblo. The green chile was delicious! Also got the fried pickles and extra bowl of green chile as well. Worth the trip! Love this history of the place and that it’s been around for almost 100 years!

I have been going here for years, it’s awesome and amazing all the sports history in here. I always get a slopper with green chili, and the fries smothered.

Of course you have to get a Coors beer in a frosted mug, it’s called a skooner you can see in the last picture.

Love this place!!

Gray’s Coors Tavern in Pueblo, CO, is highly recommended for its delicious slopper. This local and sporty restaurant has an old-school feel and is considered one of the best places to try this Pueblo classic.

First time in! Was told about this place so many times from family. They said “best slopper in Colorado!!” So we went. Our waitress was super sweet. My daughter who never had a slopper before asked some questions and our lovely waitress answered all of them & said there’s a lil surprise at the end..!! Our food came out and hot, fresh & delicious. . Now all of a sudden this bell starts going off and they were yelling out my daughter’s name and saying she’s having her first slopper! Everyone was yelling and clapping accept the chief who was “booing” a child. Like who does that?! Especially in a business as a customer. Definitely gave us a bad first time impression. Everything else was perfect! He was not. So I give 4 stars because that’s just rude. I’ve added the photo of Mr. Rude pants.

Beautiful Spring day to stop in and try this place. We’ve heard about the famous slopper since moving here … and it did not disappoint. Loved this little tavern, everything from the food to the service and the cute little outdoor dining patio. Husband had the slopper and said it was the best one he has had since moving back six months ago. I see some people complain about the fries but they were fantastic! It’s hard to find a fry that is crispy on the outside without being overcooked. We didn’t get them smothered but maybe next time. I had the BLT and onion rings. I’m really picky about onion rings (I prefer batter over breaded) and these hit the mark. Crispy and fluffy served with a ranch dip. Everything was tasty and priced well. Servers were very attentive making sure you had whatever you needed. Will definitely come back, many menu items left to try!

Iconic restaurant of Pueblo and the home of the Slopper, an open faced burger covered in the chili of your choice with an option for adding some really amazing whole-potato fries either on top or on the side. Onions and cheese were optional, but so good. The special of the day was the green chili burger, which wasn’t lovely, delicious, and not of an Overwhelming Size. The portions were all reasonable (except for the portioning of the fries, but that was entirely understandable as they were delicious).

They had a beautiful open porch for dining, lit with fairy lights, and everyone was far enough from each other to be really comfortable.
