Besides the food the worker at the counter did not greet us when we came in or when we came up to the counter. Several of the tables were dirty and did not look clean at all.
As for the food, it was okay overall. I ordered ribs with a dry rub, but they still came with sauce on them, which was a bit surprising. The flavor was decent, though not exactly what I expected . The potato salad was also just average — not bad, but nothing that really stood out.
The coleslaw was the most unusual part. It didn’t have the typical creamy mayo base and instead had a different taste, almost like there were chopped jalapeños mixed in ️. It wasn’t what I was expecting at all, but it was definitely different.
The staff didn’t seem very cheerful, but to be fair they may have just been overwhelmed with how busy things were. I might give this place another try sometime and see if the experience is different .
They don’t serve fry, only chip, ” no fry, only chip”. Which isn’t bad but. ..
Go to enough BBQ spots and you can see if they have lost their vision and
Wait, wait, this is a chain. Not a really special Q spot. Sorry. Good enough for a lunch sandwich. You can get it with slaw and mayo(yuck), white sauce (probably mayo yuck), or with red sweet. Not bad for a chain.
My buddy said,” you can always tell if it’s a great Q joint by if they’ve cut their grass or not”. They must be busy.
