Farmhouse is a casual American food joint right in the middle of the Ave, serving up some classics as well as some of their own spin.
I’ve been by quite a few times, but have been struggling with writing a review. The food is pretty solid, but nothing extraordinary — and some things have been or miss. The short rib was solid, the burger is decent, the tacos are just fine, and the chicken was pounded thin and dry & overcooked.
The prices are a bit high for what it is, so happy hour is absolutely the way to go here.
There’s outdoor seating, indoor/outdoor bar, and booths & tables inside. There’s staff is friendly, and while the food comes out quickly, sometimes it can take a bit of time to grab a server or bartender’s attention to order or get the check.
I still haven’t fully made my mind up on this place, but it won’t be my go to.

Been coming here under different names for years, but tried the Farmhouse this past weekend for the first time. Service was typical “on the Ave” fare. No cocktails, so I ordered the chicken club, which was fantastic and woofed it down before I got a chance to snap a pic(sorry). My wife’s pancakes were excellent and barely got a pic on that before I attacked her leftovers. They are like eating a lite cake, moist, dense and somewhat heavy, but excellent. Not your typical diner pancake.
PS Went back today and had the fish sandwich which was a blackened piece of grouoer…outstanding

Food is always excellent. The server was not particularly friendly or attentive. Took forever for them to pick up our plates while the staff stood one table over about 5 of them chatting. Then with our food at the end of the table and credit card in hand, finally I think a manager noticed and came and gave us our bill. The server then quickly came and picked up the food. As I am writing no one has yet to pick up the credit card machine.disappointing, Gary would not be happy.

Friends really like it so we came with them. Had reservation. Resturant pretty full when we arrived.
Food good. Spouse and friends enjoyed their drinks. (I dont drink…but they do have diet coke!)
Good menu choices. Not fancy but good. Had Ceasar salad and fish tacos. A bit loud but able to have table conversation. When we said we were sharing the salad a stack of plates came out without asking. Very on point. There is street parking and paid parking, but has the usual “happening” street parking issues.
Would come back.

Food was amazing and service was top notch! Alyssa did a wonderful job. She was the absolute perfect balance of taking care of us & letting us enjoy without hovering. Fantastic experience in Delray tonight.

Sta outside on a beautiful Sunday morning for brunch. We were thefe with our 2 young kids. Everyone loved their choices. The fruit plate (a clutch item for the kids) was beautiful & generous. The location is right in the middle of everything which makes for great people watching.

Nice date place right on the main drag in Del Ray.
The food was VERY fresh. We had the Buffalo Cauliflower for an appetizer. It was crispy and spicy on the outside and soft on the inside on top of ranch.
My wife had the Nutty Chicken, which was a HUGE portion. She loved it.
I had the Braised Rib over grits. It was so tender and the grits were perfectly done. Very well seasoned.
We both had a cocktail. Delicious but pricey.
Our waitress was absolutely amazing. She was sweet and helpful. Very attentive and her personality made us want to engage.
The only negative was the overly drunk people in the dining room. One man was sloppy drunk and complaining about food for a free meal. It made us a bit uncomfortable. The staff handled it like champs!!!

Made a reservation ahead and had to wait forever to be seated at a makeshift table. They took reserved tables to accommodate for large parties or walk-ins. Overall, didn’t seem organized. Food was overpriced for what you get, and it arrived cold. Apparently happy hour is only served at bar which they do not state on their menu unless you’re a large party you get treated better. They do have a kids menu but the waiter has to read it off to you which is odd.

Great Happy Hour. 3-7, half off the entire menu & drinks, no matter where you sit. Nice open-air bar. The zucchini chips were great, and the burger… perfect! Juicy, tasty, excellent. I wasn’t a big fan of the brussel sprouts, but maybe that’s the personal preference, so I won’t hold it against them. We sat at the bar, super nice atmosphere, our bartender, Rachel, was great, kind, knowledgeable, the great service completed our meal, thank you.
