Heading back from Pflugerville to Waco we decided to take a little detour and stop at this restaurant. So glad we did!
I loved that Frida was in the entryway before you walk in! Walked in and the atmosphere was energetic and the vibe was right! We decided to sit at the bar where we met Eva. She took excellent care of us! She was already busy handling the entire restaurants drinks as well as taking care of us and others at the bar.
We really appreciate her. She did an outstanding amazing job!
I ordered a pina colada and it was the best pina colada that I have ever had in my life! Especially that she went above and beyond to make it looked beautiful! We ordered the pig burrito which was an excellent choice! You’ll see in the pictures what I’m talking about. The flavors of the pastor were on point and I could probably eat that all throughout the day lol. Next time I’m getting the pastor tacos just to try because it was so good!
Prices are very affordable and food was very fresh! Thank you again for taking good care of us, we will definitely be back!

My coworkers and I have been getting food from here for almost a year. We order multiple times a week sometimes multiple times a day. Yesterday was my final straw. We spend lots of money with Mexican grille to be treated poorly and for the food to be crap! This plate below is the La Mexicana. My co worker and I ordered lunch yesterday and when my coworker brought the food back to our job 3 minutes away from the Mexican grille I immediately noticed my food was wrong and soggy. Pissed off I drove up there and asked for a replacement. The girl at the window had an attitude but I still was kind. She replaced my food and sent me on my way. My fault for not checking…. I get back to work and open it and this is what my plate looked like… drowning in grease, soggy and covered in guacamole. I called up there and asked to speak to a manager and while I was talking she cut me off and started speaking to someone else at the restaurant in Spanish. So I cussed her out and told her she was being rude! I hung up and Needless to say I wasted $22 between my food and queso because I didn’t eat. My coworkers and I won’t be ordering anymore we will go to the Mexican restaurant next door!

Excellent service and very good food, but the owner’s behavior was terrible. He is very rude to his employees and treats them very badly. In my opinion, this restaurant doesn’t deserve to have such good employees. They should have more ethics and know how to speak to their workers without yelling at them during working hours in front of us, the customers. All I wanted was to eat and have a good time with my family, but after hearing how he spoke to them, I no longer want to come back. This is very sad.

Not only was our service bad, but the food was worse than I thought. I ate half my dinner at the restaurant, and saved the rest for work the next day. I immediately put my leftovers in the fridge as soon as I got home. Today I get to work and put it in the (new) fridge as well, I open it up to snack on the food. And the beans and rice were so damn sour, I immediately spit it out. It was so spoiled that it made the rest of my fajitas taste bad, and have a bad smell. Or maybe the fajitas were just as old as the beans and rice. I spoke with the manager about a refund today, and she was not a pleasant or professional. My food was so sour, so spoiled it was like eating sour skittles and pop rocks, because the bacteria was popping on my tongue. None of the staff care, none of the staff are worried about public health. Don’t go here any longer, I wasted my money. I’ll be looking into getting a refund for this, I suggest whoever else had their taste buds and stomachs assaulted should do the same. I wish you guys could smell what I smell through this picture.

This was our second visit since our first experience was great. The food is usually good but I ordered tortilla soup but it was super salty so I requested to swap it out with pazole thinking it was a fluke. The pazole was salty as well and when three people stopped by to ask if everything was ok, I didn’t want to be THAT person so I said it was fine. I’ll just give it to my mother who doesn’t mind high cholesterol. I was also disappointed that chips and salsa were brought to our table without any mention that there would be a charge. Most restaurants offer them as a courtesy, or at least make it clear if there’s a cost. When I asked why we weren’t given the option, the waiter said it was because the manager requires them to charge for everything. Regardless, it’s misleading not to be upfront about extra charges. I don’t know if it’s their standard practice to charge for items without asking if the customer wants it or if I was being charged in lieu of requesting a swap for unsatisfactory food. Unfortunately, that lack of transparency means we won’t be coming back.
*update* after further research, nowhere on the menu we were given has chips and salsa with a charge. I called the restaurant and the lady who answered was very kind and I asked if they typically charge and she said they only charge if you come in before 11 am. I explained where we sat and how we didn’t ask for the salsa, it was just brought to the table and she got with her manager and he said they can’t do anything about it because we left the property. I asked if they’d be able to fix this if we came by and she said he told her no. I asked that she let him know that this is unethical business practice and and I’d be adding another negative review in regards to his management. The lady was completely understanding of why I was upset and I let her know that I wasn’t upset with her, just with my experience and her managers response.
