First time trying this place but keep seeing it come up online so why Not! I’ll say it is a smaller location but that doesn’t matter the flavors they are getting out of that chicken is fantastic. The coleslaw is amazing. The Korean corn dog is an interesting take on corn dog it’s basically cheese in place of a hot dog but deliciously coated with potatoes and texture on the outside. We tried the sampler which was about 39 bucks and it was sufficient food to try everything and it really was good I’m a chicken person and I like different sauces the Cucumber Wasabi was pretty tasty and refreshing what does soy garlic is there number one they do have spicy but I opted out of that they have other items to try but that’s what we got and I would definitely go back

We stopped by to try this place for the first time this past Saturday. Upon entering, we were welcomed by the only server at the time, who was very welcoming. However, the first thing I noticed was how dirty the place was; the floor was sticky, and the tables had crumbs and sauce. After looking at the menu, we saw their promotion for 2 drumsticks and a draft for only $8, which is pretty decent! I got the soy garlic flavor, which was absolutely delicious—they were meaty and very crispy! To sum it all up, the place seems to have pretty tasty food, but it could really use a deep cleaning, including the restrooms. It was only 2 p.m. as well. I can only imagine how dirty it gets later on in the day.

I love the Yangneyom wings and the tacos! I’ve had the marinated, grilled chicken and the bulgogi tacos. They are usually consistent but the last time I went, the wings weren’t fully covered in the sauce so it wasn’t what I become accustomed to. Also, I usually get all flats (just a preference) but they are an addtl $5.

Our server was Detra and she was phenomenal. Friendly and very interactive. Gave options and broke down spice levels for those who don’t eat spicy. Talked about limited menu items promotional days. Food was amazing and atmosphere was divine. For those who enjoy some good 90s and early 00s, the music was on fleek. Definitely worth a trip back. The chicken was amazing

The last few times I’ve ordered the takeout quality has declined. On this order the rice was not included, the kimchi side thats 2 bites was $4, and coleslaw added to the sandwhich, which was suppose to be a side, completely soaked the bread.

Very friendly staff!

The food was also good but a little more pricey than other Bonchon’s I have been to. I guess it’s because they are a franchise.

I ordered the 6 piece chicken wings with soy garlic sauce and coleslaw for $14.99.
The coleslaw was okay. It just had a weird after taste, like too much vinegar.

I got a side of steamed rice (small scoop), cost $2.99.

Normally, the chicken wings come with rice and a fountain drink.

They also serve alcohol at this location.

Sorry, I did not take a picture of the food menu. They have a lot of choices, including bulgogi plates and more.

Very good overall, but a few doors down, you can get the same 6 piece chicken with a Boba drink for $9.99.

The Spicy chicken tacos are unbelievably good! Half and Half wings were good as well. I tasted my buddy’s pork potstickers and those were tasty as well. It was my first time here and I was impressed. Nice spot on Granby St, plenty of TVs to watch, and a chill overall ambiance. I will definitely come back to try more food and bring the family.

Being a first-timer, I absolutely loved the service we received from our waitress, Deidra. The food came out in a timely manner, hot and fresh. All the food had its own distinct taste. The potsticker would have been plenty for me. My favorite is the kimchi.

This location is located in Downtown Norfolk across from TCC College. It’s on the corner and it has two stories. The upstairs is mainly for large parties. The downstairs is for four or fewer parties, pickups, and the bar. I have been wanting to try Korean fried chicken, and it did not disappoint. It’s best to come with a party because the food is very pricey. You get to choose from small, medium, or large. The higher you go, the more the cost. Since it was our first time there, we were warned that they do not season their chicken. The flavor comes from the sauce in which they put on their chicken. The choices are Soy Garlic or Spicy, and you can get it mixed. It may come with pickle radish or coleslaw. I just so happened to try both. The pickle radish was very hard and crunchy. The coleslaw wasn’t as flavorful but decent. We had mixed wings, and I must say I liked them both! They were juicy, crunchy, and bursting with flavor. We also had a side order of fries and white rice. My daughter had plain wings and rice. We also tried the Korean BBQ chicken wings and it was not hitting. We did end up taking wings home as well. I will definitely recommend this place, and I will be back again. They also have another location in Virginia Beach if you do not wish to travel to Norfolk.
