This was my first time at this location and I absolutely was NOT disappointed. The atmosphere and location were quiet and welcoming. The servers were nice, friendly, and patient. We had a couple of spills and even the cleaner was patient, understanding, and helpful. The food…..oh my goodness, the food was GREAT. I had not one, but two platters and barely had enough food left over to take home. I definitely plan on returning to eat here again.

Great atmosphere, however, the food little overpriced, and the portion sizes are very small. The catfish didn’t have any fish inside. It was all breading. The crab boils you only get two small potatoes lol
Shrimp was overcooked. However, they were deveined, which is great.
The service was great, nice people fast to go order.
I highly suggest working on the portion sizes.

I love this location! Not only does the food come out fresh, hit and delicious but the customer service is always top tier! Can we also discuss the bartender? I didn’t even sit at the bar, my drink was amazing. I have gone there for happy hour and she was warm, kind, and doing great things with our drinks!! Don’t know her name, but she is medium brown and about 5’4 sweet as she wanna be…I will be back!

This review is not intended to single out or disparage any individual. However, it was disappointing to walk into an establishment meant to serve food and observe employees presenting themselves in a manner that does not align with basic standards of professionalism.
I understand you operate as a casual restaurant, but that does not excuse a lack of appropriate workplace appearance. What I observed raises concerns not only about brand standards, but also about how employees are representing themselves while at their place of business. This is on management not the employee- hence why I removed personal identity.
Maintaining a clean, professional presence is essential in any food service environment, and this experience fell short of that expectation.

The food was really great. We were satisfied with everything we ordered. The drinks were just right, oh.. and the appetizers were a hit too.

I recently visited Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar for an early dinner with some friends, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! The fried calamari was delicious, and the lobster tail basket was surprisingly tasty too. The table area of the restaurant wasn’t too busy when we were there, which made for a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was quick and helpful, and the bartender was definitely moving fast, especially since it seemed like happy hour (3-7 PM, Monday through Friday) was keeping her busy for the couple of people posted up around the bar. The restaurant was clean, which was appreciated. The prices weren’t the best, but I was with friends, and we just went with it. Overall, a great experience!

I am dissatisfied with the experience I had at this establishment. After waiting approximately 30 to 40 minutes to order my food, I received the following order: two catfish baskets, one with coleslaw and the other with hush puppies, accompanied by two pieces of corn. While my husband expressed satisfaction with the taste of the catfish, he noted that the portion sizes could be improved. I rate the customer satisfaction at 10/10. However, I rate the portion at 2/2. I recommend this establishment, but I advise you to inspect your belongings before departing if you intend to take them out. Corn was hard, catfish was very tasty, and hush puppies with corn were tasty, but I would choose crafty crab any day. Coleslaw 6/10

The food was okay, once we eventually got it, but cold as ice. I guess they partner with a delivery service, but had a very poor experience waiting over an hour after the estimated delivery time. Their estimated time changed about 12 times and overall it was just not worth all that hassle and waiting around.

DONT RELY ON THEM! I ordered catering from here a week and a half before the date of my event. Everything was confirmed and the restaurant accepted the order. THEN 15 minutes before my order is supposed to arrive for my work event they cancel the order with no explanation. I called both EZ cater (where they do their catering through) and they told me the restaurant decided they couldn’t do it then the restaurant said EZ Cater canceled it. No matter what someone lied and I was left high and dry trying to explain why this networking event I had worked hard on now didn’t have food. If zero stars were an option that’s what they’d get.

The chinese manager chick was very disrespectful. As we walked in she didn’t even acknowledge us so,a guy seated us. We sat at two separate tables with 2 different waiters and the chinese girl with the 2 toned hair came over saying “can y’all afford to pay gratuity?” while talking with her hands, very unprofessional. We were explaining that the gratuity is not the problem it was her delivery and what she was saying. Very disappointing. She must be new because we come to this location often and we’ve never seen or interacted with her until last night. She definitely killed the atmosphere during Black History Month on my mom’s birthday. Fix it.
