I really love Shiki lounges salmon sushi, so we placed an order on the 3rd of February to celebrate something.
That didn’t go well as I got food poisoning from it… that I am only now recovering from.
At that point my husband remembered that the previous time we placed an ordered (on the 28/10/2025) the exact same situation occurred….
With the gap of three months in between I think that speaks for itself that it is not a one off issue, for people who are considering to order, please look for safer options.

Shiki Sushi & Lounge offers a delightful array of food, showcasing a diverse menu filled with delicious options. My visit provided an overall enjoyable dining experience, with highlights being the scrumptious salmon steaks, assorted sushi varieties, flavorful meat dishes, and delightful sweets. The fruit ice creams, in particular, were a standout.

However, while the food largely impressed, some items like the green tea ice didn’t quite match my palate. My main qualm centered around the dining setup, specifically the tables for 1-2 people. As depicted in the images attached, these tables felt cramped and uncomfortable for two individuals. Given the restaurant’s offer of unlimited dining time, this constrained seating made it challenging to relax and enjoy the meal fully.

Despite this, I must acknowledge that my time at Shiki Sushi & Lounge was pleasant, yet the tight seating arrangement was a drawback that impacted the overall experience. With a few improvements in the seating layout, this renowned restaurant in my beloved city of Rotterdam could elevate its dining experience to match its exceptional food quality. Rating it 4 stars reflects my admiration for the cuisine and the hope for enhanced comfort in the future.

This is just the best all you can eat Sushi spot in Rotterdam and surrounding area. The quality is unmatched for competitors. If you are in Rotterdam and you want to enjoy some all you can eat Sushi that is of high quality, you need to visit Shiki. Just a 2 minute walk from Alexander train or metro station.

We go to Shiki almost every month! The sushi is delicious and also affordable. It’s better than most all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants. They have alot of good dishes. I love the red velvet rolls, sizzling salmon rolls and mussels! They also have amazing cocktails from their own cocktail bar! The atmosphere is nice too.

Been here again after like 2 years. I have to see I was a little disappointed. From a refreshing atmosphere and good food, they went to temperatures where you are forced to wear scarfs or jackets to stay warm and animal abuse halal food. Not your typical and authentic Japanese restaurent. They skipped the ordering from a tablet and introduced the qr code where you have to use your own phone. Also the menu changed, besides the halal stuff, which is horrible, the choices and the quality is less then before. The same decline you can see at other similar sushi places and they start to close down one by one. I thjnk the end is near for this one.

We enjoyed the fine dining experience at Shiki. And an experience it was!

The nine course menu consists of different dishes in Japanese style. They all taste amazing! Especially the wagyu beef and lobster dishes were outstanding, with honorable mentions for nigiri Shiki style and the pork dumpling. Matching wine/drinks menu is very good as well.

Service and presentation outstanding.

This is by far the best sushi restaurant in Rotterdam. We have enjoyed the variety of dishes and the quality is fantastic. The staff are friendly and kind and helpful. You won’t get to finish all the rounds and it is more than enough food to eat. The area is large so most probably there is a place to seat without reservation . Highly recommended.

Girlfriend took me here as a surprise anniversary meal and have to say I cannot wait to go again.
Do not eat anything that day as there is so much to try and you don’t want to miss anything.
Highly recommend the dragon rolls, salmon rolls and the beef teriyaki

Believe it was €37 per head not including drinks which vary between €3,25-€10 depending on what you have. There’s a good selection of beer, cocktails, wine, soft drinks and hot drinks available.
The staff are friendly, helpful and very apologetic if something you have ordered via the app takes longer than expected.

Parking is easy enough as there is a large car park out the back. Cost us €4 for 2.5 hours

Very impressed and will be going again hopefully soon

All you can eat sushi place. No time limit, unlimited orders and a lot of different sushi and dishes. The food is overall good. The people are very friendly. The place it self look a little big and has bad acoustics (it is very loud).

Luxury Problems:

I love writing good reviews, but this time, I’m truly disappointed.

I ordered a sushi platter for €114, gave a tip to the delivery person at the door, and the food looked great. However, for a platter worth €114, they only included two portions of wasabi and two portions of ginger. How stingy can you be??

I called customer service, and to my surprise, the receptionist told me I should order more if I wanted extra wasabi and ginger. What kind of customer service is that?? There wasn’t even an option to add more when placing the order. According to her, most customers don’t eat that much wasabi and ginger with their sushi. But ginger is meant to cleanse the palate so you can properly taste each piece. Do they even realize how much sushi we ordered? Seriously?? Why should we, as paying customers, be affected by other people’s preferences?

I was always taught: the one who pays, decides. Hospitality is key, Shiki. My advice—only spend your money where you are valued.

Now, I’m at Albert Heijn, BUYING extra wasabi and ginger. So in the end, I didn’t just pay €114, but an extra €7.70, not to mention the cost of fuel to get here.
