I do not recommend this place. We are not from the area but decided to eat there. The burger meat was good but everything else was lacking. I was excited about the waffle fries but I took one bite and it was still cold and raw. When I looked more closely there is hair fried in the fries. Never again.

My first time here. Very relaxed atmosphere and our waitress was very kind. It was smaller than I thought inside, however the outdoor patio offers lots of room.
We were helped right away and food was served piping hot. The fish was delicious! My sister really enjoyed her hamburger cooked just how she liked it.
Great place!

Fried mushrooms and fish and chips, also the mussels were delicious! Great drink selections they have more crafted cocktails than what appears on their online menu. We tried a couple different drinks a pink lemonade and one that tastes like a rocket pop melted in a hard liquor! So great. Service staff was great as well!

Old Bag of Nails in Marysville delivered. The patio was dope, great outdoor bar vibe and plenty of space to chill . Had a Tom Collins that was spot‑on—and recognized by a few regulars as a standout version of that classic drink. Pub-style feel, relaxed atmosphere, solid place to kick back with a drink and some fish & chips.

Old Bag of Nails Pub in Marysville is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is welcoming, lively, and full of character—exactly what a great neighborhood pub should be. The food is consistently excellent (the fish and chips alone are worth the trip), the drinks are well-made, and the overall vibe makes you want to stay longer than planned.
A huge shoutout to Lauren, the bartender, who truly elevates the experience. She’s friendly, attentive, and genuinely great at what she does—always making sure everyone feels taken care of while keeping things fun and relaxed. You can tell she takes pride in her work, and it shows.
Whether you’re grabbing dinner, meeting friends for drinks, or just stopping in to unwind, Old Bag of Nails in Marysville delivers every time. Highly recommend—especially if Lauren’s behind the bar.

My mom, brother, and I ate here for the first time on October 24, 2023. He drove Mom up to get me from Woodstock. We loved it! I got a po’ boy shrimp… A favorite of mine… Great service and great atmosphere, as well! When we were seated, they made sure there was plenty of room, so I didn’t feel pinned in. There was plenty of room for my wheelchair.

My wife and I had our first date here 5 years ago and just went back for our anniversary on the 10/23/24. Everything is just as amazing as before. We have been there a couple times in between as well and always loved the atmosphere and the food. We are not much for live music and everything else so we just enjoy the lunch crowd but it kind of has a mix of different scenes or atmospheres for different crowds. Truly a great place.
PS the carrot cake is truly famous and to die for.

Fish and chips was good but nothing else came out as described on the menu. I would go for tge skinny fries as the steak fries were very soggy and limp. The sugar plum drink was supposed to have a sugar coated rim. The side salad is not a side its huge which I guess is nothing to complain about but it was basically a meal in itself. The bread pudding Ala mode was burnt, the sauce had no bourbon flavor and it was served cold with no “ala mode” ice cream. The entire meal for two people plus tip was just under $100. Not worth it! Service was very slow but they were nice. Not enough to ever bring us back.

We had a Company meeting at the Union County Chamber office next door and the Marysville location was so accommodating. The Manager Chris was so helpful and Justin our waiter was great!! They got all 16 of us in and out for lunch and and we had excellent service. Our company will definitely go there again.

Ordered pick up for dinner. $84 for a family if four. Very disappointed in the order and the amount of food. An $8 side salad should be bigger than a small salad bowl of lettuce, two tomatoes and four croutons. Our sandwiches barely had a handful of fries. The steak sandwich maybe had 4 ounces of steak. The side of coleslaw was maybe 1/4 of a cup. Seriously? While I understand food prices are up, I have gotten more for less at other restaurants in Marysville. We won’t be back.
