Hansel & Gretel Bakery Cafe is the kind of place that makes you “accidentally” order more than you planned. Everything I tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made — the kind of baked goods that make you pause mid-bite and go, “Okayyyy, I see you.”
The drinks are nicely balanced (read: not sugar bombs), which I appreciate. You can actually taste the coffee and tea without feeling like you just drank liquid frosting. Atmosphere? Cozy yet sophisticated. It’s giving “meet a friend for coffee” but also “casually romantic first date.” And somehow, despite being a popular spot, seating and parking were both easy — which feels like a minor miracle here in Atlanta.
Now, as someone who’s gluten-free, I’ll say there aren’t a ton of options… but let’s be honest — what exactly do we expect walking into a bakery? I knew the risks, and I went anyway and found two items I could eat. Worth it.
Would absolutely recommend. Just don’t blame me if you leave with an extra pastry you “weren’t going to get.”

This was honestly a big disappointment. I’ve seen this place all over Tik Tok and I was expecting much better. The atmosphere was decent and the pastries looked good on the shelves (but in reality was okay). The displays were pretty cute but besides that it was mostly your average coffee shop. The most disappointing thing was for sure the Berry Surprise and Lemon Delight. I was expecting that nice ASMR crack that pretty much everybody has seen on their “For You” page but now I can see why it’s called the Berry Surprise because it’s very surprising when you find it’s just jello inside (As shown in the photos). I got the butterscotch latte which was pretty decent not too burnt tasting but honestly pretty much like your normal coffee with creamer. I also got the Garlic Toast Baguette (which was pretty meh, not amazing but not horrible. It had a harder crust and softer inside. Also a surprising flavor because it tasted quite sweet like honey with a hint of garlic bread) and the Pecan cookies (Which were again meh, sort of burnt tasting honestly)
The service was not great at all. First of all, the workers were not friendly to begin with. Second, My latte took a long time to make and even when it was done they did not ring the beeper and a few minutes after I brought my drink back they rung the beeper (and I had already gotten my drink no thanks to the beeper)
I may visit again just to try their other items but if you are coming just to try their Berry Surprise and Lemon Delight, I would for sure not get my hopes up (again it was just jello and okay jello at that. I would have to say the Berry jello is better than the Lemon jello.)

Tik tok + my bestie sent me here so I took my daughter. The pastries wasn’t really good mostly jelly and moose, the cake tasted bland, the strawberries was fresh, that’s about it. I tried all the viral pastries and none was at least okay lol they wasn’t my cup of tea, I like sweet okay and I do mean sweet. The bread was okay, I tried the garlic butter bread, it seems like it had sugar and it just didn’t mix well. The lattes were nasty and I do mean nasty, it just tastes like stemmed milk. I kept going back asking her to add sugar and vanilla. That didn’t work! It was an experience, I will say that, I spent $100, most likely will not return. The service was really good not amazing but good and the atmosphere was weird, I don’t know how to explain it.

Fresh selection of baked sweets, sandwiches, and birthday cakes. Their cakes are ready to go and I love how light and fresh their cream is. Not overly sweet if that’s what you prefer. I also love their frozen yogurt, it’s got the perfect balance of slightly sourness and sweet. It’s really amazing, trust me!!

The cakes are so cute. We order the sheep and the sleeping bear. I love the shape but not really care for the flavor and texture that much. It is jello soft and sticky at the same time. The lemon ginger honey tea was really good, better than other places that I tried in the past. Its a busy place since we went on the weekend, it is somewhat noisy but you still be able to engage in conversation with each other.

Whenever I come to Atlanta, my friends and I make a stop by Hansel & Gretel. Their drinks and pastries are delicious. I recently ordered a birthday cake for my best friend. They were quick, kind and very easy to work with. I gave them a simple reference image to work off of and they made it so much more beautiful. Way better than expected! Highly recommend. 🙂

It was pretty crowded on Friday night as we went for night coffee with friends. It’s chill place to have conversations over a cup of coffee and desserts. They had nice section of desserts from handmade cookies to pastry slices. They also take orders for special occasion cakes made to order. I tried their Hansel sweet coffee which was nice but way too sweet for me. But overall it’s nice place to hangout and chill. One of our go to places for late night coffee dates

Even with Christmas decorations, the vibe in the room is still romantic with dim lights. They set lofi music in the background. A lot of seats with charging spot to study or work. Cute pastry designs.

Very cute atmosphere! I loved the brightness and cleanliness of the bakery. The cashier was mediocre but other than that, it was a nice experience. I went about an hour before closing. The red velvet cheesecake that I got was ok.
