My mom recently move out to the west side of t-town, and after leaving her new place I decided to take a new way back into Tulsa proper. Usually I go down to 244, and back in that way, since I work up by the airport. Well today decided to take 44, and I’m glad I did.
By fate, I missed my on ramp, and took the service road all the way until I hit the warehouse market and dead end, and as I was turning around at the quick trip, this tiny, bright yellow building, that looked like it was straight out of AMERICAN GRAFFITI, caught the corner of my eye. Then the neon hamburgers sign piqued my curiosity, then the name, that beautiful name,
LINDA-MAR. Evoking, some far off memory of a, Far away idyllic beach, I had once known…with reckless abandon, I darted across the street, maybe cutting off two other cars, I say maybe because I was so intently focused on the fact that they had a drive though, and needed to keep moving. I pulled up to the speaker, and my jaw dropped to the floorboard, with all the menu options, and as the lady asked what I wanted, I couldn’t help by say, WHERE AM I? And laughed a bit, and told me that they were celebrating their 64th year, and that the chicken could be made in many different ways. And also about the west sider burger. Which I will absolutely get the next time I go here, with my wife.
So I made a simple order, cheeseburger, order of chicken, fries and a drink. Easy peasy, pulled around to the window and met the coolest lady, she just had swag for days, Excatly the kind of person you would expect to be working at a old school burger joint, just a kind person, that you could tell, if she knew you, would give you a little sass, and joke around with you, like I could have expected her to call me toots, or some old fashioned nickname, like pal, or kiddo, whatever they would call you back in the day. As I was waiting for the food I was telling her how the jalapeño chicken will be right up my wife’s alley and I that I will order it then, and she came back with a big ass sample for me to try, just out of the blue, and also with the most beautiful fried chicken chunk on a toothpick, saying, here, you will love it. She wasn’t lying.
So, I get my food, say Thankyou and go find 44 east… now, I’ll start with the chicken. I do not know who came first, and I’m sure I could google it. But, at 64 years old, rex chicken had to copy this place, because when I opened the container, and saw the chicken, I almost swerved into the median. I WILL CLAIM IT NOW. These are the best chicken bites in Tulsa, period.
Not only are they the best in Tulsa, but i literally got 3 lbs of chicken for 7$. I was in clucking heaven! So moving on to the burger, and fries.
I’ll wrap this up quick. I haven’t eaten at hanks, jumbos, Arnold’s, lot-a-burger, Ron’s, Ty’s. I’ve had webers, Claud’s, and all the smash burger spots.
For my money, this is the best burger in Tulsa.
It is THE example of what an “old fashion” burger is supposed to be.
I wanted to get the onion rings, but forgot to order them, but, the fries, were basically 5 guys fries, only crispier. I will, try the rings the next visit, because I will 100 percent be back. Regularly.
Thanks Linda-mar!

Well the wife and I are at it again.
And I think this is going to be our last post for 2025. 2026 is going in a more healthier direction, as we both have agreed to cook more at home.
I wish everyone could taste our good food.
Okay, so the wife said that she wanted to check out Linda-Mar.
So that’s what we did, and let me tell you the both of us were really impressed by the quality, portions, and temperature of our food.
The wife wanted to try Linda’s famous Jalapeno chicken. Let me tell you the portion was big, it was hot in both way temperature and a little spicy. The side of ranch that it comes with will definitely help cool these bites down a tad.
We both ordered a double cheeseburger, except I ordered mine with bacon.
Listen when they brought out our burgers, I was shocked to see the size, and that both of our doubles were hot! Juicy, just the right seasoning (not too much) and the freshness was perfect! And it still proves that a small place can make cheeseburgers better than those fast food chains or even restaurants. I will also add that we both ordered combo’s, which comes with fries and a drink. The french fries were hot too.
It’s small inside, but there is room for at least 24 people to eat inside, or if you choose you can eat outside. This is also one of those places where you can order in the drive-thru and simply eat it in your car.
My opinion is, when you have the taste for a burger and a side, come by Linda-Mar Drive in and enjoy like we did. Wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere too. Watching Andy Griffith Show. It was a good date night for us.
Don’t forget to be patient, she really gets busy. And that’s fine with me because everything and everyone compliments one another. Good food, good service, and good prices.
You can count on us return later in 2026.
Until then…
Always be thankful,
Always be kind,
And always enjoy the moments. Because it will cost more for seconds!

They used to give you bigger portions. My husband went to get me fried mushrooms today and for 5$ they gave us a total of 10…. 10 tiny mushrooms and one was burnt….. im absolutely shocked that we paid .50 per mushroom… for that price I am gonna be making my own at home now. We used to go because of the portion price and sizes and we have both noticed that their portions are getting smaller and smaller…. Now we go maybe every 3 months instead of once a week. I remember when they used to overload the tiny bag and it’d be spilling into the bottom of the brown bag…

After over 15 years of seeing this place almost daily, I’d never once considered stopping in. No idea why it never piqued my curiosity. Recently, though, I started looking at it differently. I’ve been expanding my burger horizons because my two boys are burger enthusiasts, and we always try to find a good spot. To my surprise, this restaurant has been around for over 50 years! And there were more surprises, but I’ll get to those in a moment.

The parking lot was packed, so I ended up in an overflow area—a muddy, empty lot next door. Little did I know things would only get “muddier” inside…

As soon as I walked in, I got the “hole-in-the-wall” vibe. The kind of place where things are forgiven simply because it’s old and nostalgic, like how we let certain things slide with an elderly relative. At over 50 years old, it seems the rules of hygiene and upkeep just… don’t apply here.

Now, call me picky, but a grimy bathroom with minimal sanitation options for employees is where I draw the line. Nostalgia is one thing, but basic cleanliness is non-negotiable! After seeing that, I couldn’t fully enjoy the burger I’d just bought. I kept imagining scenarios where cooks and customers were all cramming into this tiny restroom, practically adjacent to the kitchen. Picture a tight, cramped space where the line between the restroom and the kitchen is far too close for comfort—it’s hard not to let that ruin the meal.

I debated whether to even mention this, but you know what? Just because something’s “been there forever” doesn’t mean it gets a free pass on basics like hygiene. And to be honest, the burger was nothing special anyway. It reminded me of something from Sonic. Sure, I paid less here than I would have at Sonic, but it wasn’t anything memorable. Maybe the only “unique” thing about this place is its longevity, but certainly not its flavor.

One last note: ease up on the salt in those fries. Mine were loaded.

I know this review might get some backlash, but I have standards, and I paid for this meal. I’ve tried it, so I don’t need to go back.

This was not meant to disrespect the owners or staff I am just simply reacting to what you put out

There are a lot of good burger joints on the west side of Tulsa. Here is one, the historic, iconic Linda Mar. A bright mustard yellow and ketchup red, painted building; not much bigger than a two-car garage on the outside, with a one car garage sized dining area, on the inside. A classic burger dive. And speaking of cars; the inside walls are covered with pictures and articles of local stock car racers and their cars. If you are old enough to recognize any of the names or faces that you see on the wall, well it is likely that you have already had to have at least one hip replacement.

The little lady at the counter is friendly, with a cheerful personality. The burgers and fries are excellent. Hot and fresh. First time ever that I have had to let a hamburger cool a little before I could pick it up to eat. Crispy perfect fries.

Put the Linda Mar on your Tulsa burger tour itinerary. Burgers made with quality and taste that will compete with any “Old Fashioned Hamburger” in Tulsa.

Linda Mar is a no-frills, classic roadside burger shack. A Westside gem. It’s as authentic as they come, serving what are likely the same burgers they’ve been making since 1961. It’s a regular stop for my friend and me after mountain biking. While the burgers are a solid choice, the real standout is the Jalapeño Chicken. I couldn’t decide, so I got both. It’s worth checking out.

This place is a nugget. For $13 you get a large juicy triple burger, fries and well-sized drink. You can’t beat that. Easily in my top 5 burger places in Tulsa now, maybe tied for 2nd, and Tulsa has A LOT of competition. Its a little cozy inside, but they have a TV playing old-fashioned programs, and racing paraphernalia scattered about. The lady at the register was sweet, and they treated my veteran friend to a free meal (full disclosure: it was Veterans Day).

The burger was gigantic, easily 3/4 lbs worth of meat, maybe 1lb. The bun and patties were hot, which you don’t realize is nice until you have one. I’m kicking myself for not taking a photo as proof, but I’m coming again, and next time, I’ll try their jalapeno chicken basket.

I love this place when the elderly lady (short gray hair) is working the window, she is a peach and so kind and pleasant. Every time I go there is a line during the lunch hour, which is a good thing as you can tell it has good food, I’m fine with waiting because the lady is so sweet (and I mean busy as 3 cars waiting in front of us for their food and 3 cars behind me in line waiting to place their order)…….BUT today I went and experienced a dark hair elderly lady who was so rude at the drive through window, I was shocked and put off, I could absolutely not believe how rude she was, I’ll explain. I pull up to the window (remind you not a single car in the drive through no one waiting in front of us or behind us in line) and now I know why, because she was working.. But anyways I pull up she asked be to wait one minute to place my order, I kindly respond ” not problem at all, take your time”. I order a cheese burger combo and a jalapeno chicken basket. I pull up to the window to pay and the window is wide open, which is ok, I wait 5 minutes for her to come get get money, no problem on the time, but when she comes I ask her for hot sauce, she says we don’t have any grabs my card from my hand and slams the window, then when she comes back with my receipt to sign on a clip board, I said “when I come they always give me a small cup of hot sauce”, she proceeds to close the window again on me while I’m talking, I sign the receipt while I wait for her to come back to get it and she opens quickly grabs the clipboard, and I said excuse me, and she cracks the window and looks at me with one eye through the crack and I repeated “they normally give me a small cup of hot sauce when I ask for it” and she still looking at me through a one inch crack and looks at me as if she is scared or I’m dumb.. I just cant believe how rude she was.. I will go back but only when the elderly gray haired lady is working, I will be calling ahead before driving that way.. I have never been treated so poorly and I still killed her with kindness, I was so mad I almost cried lol because if you are in customer service you need to do better.. you were not that busy has no one else was in line but a woman who is older than you can run circles around you and be polite while doing it.. If the owner sees this, please please please take her off of your drive through… go read your reviews and I guarantee she is why your customer service ratings are so horrible.
