Since opening our doors in 2015, Pizzeria Cavalese began as a humble establishment dedicated to serving fresh, handmade pizzas daily. But great pizza is a never-ending pursuit of perfection. What started with a simple, direct-method dough has since evolved into a refined sourdough, naturally leavened for a lighter, more digestible crust.
Inventive pizza, pasta & classic Italian fare dished up in a contemporary, exposed-brick space.

Never been this satisfied when eating in a restaurant. All the servers are very friendly and helpful. They make this dining experience more enjoyable. The pizza taste is out of this world. Crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I really love the ambience of this place. They also gave you a bread stick as a service. Their garlic bread is more on the chewy side rather than crispy. After we finished our meal, they also gave us free ice cream. Overall, it’s really great experience to come here. Would love to be back again. Solid 10/10

Tried this Italian restaurant recently, and it was a mixed experience. The pizza was solid—crispy crust, well-balanced toppings, and just the right amount of cheese. The salad was fresh and well-dressed, a nice complement to the meal.
But the steak? Terrible. It wasn’t even real steak—just some processed meat trying to pass as the real thing. Definitely disappointing.
Service, on the other hand, was great. The staff was attentive and friendly, which helped balance out the bad steak experience.
Would I come back? Maybe—for the pizza and salad, but definitely not for the “steak.”

This is our favorite Pizza place in Jakarta, maybe even Indonesia. We visit this restaurant every single week because my foreign husband really likes their pizza.
The employees are super friendly, responsive, and their customer service is top notch. Mas Fajrul and Mas Farullloh are our favorites. They always fulfill our special request. There were times they made a little mistake in our order and they provide a new pizza entirely to correct it. They also never forget to offer free ice cream after the meal. There is only one particular waiter who usually has a cold demeaner, and never offer the ice cream after the meal. Other than that, it is usually spectaculer service.
The place itself is clean, the ambience is great to spend time with your family and friends.
We really recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants to eat delicious pizza.
New update: They got rid of their lunch special menu so there is not much difference in price for lunch and dinner.

San San Muliawan
We visited Pizzeria Cavalese before pandemic and we had a great experience.
Today we visit again.
The pizza, as usual, is soft, chewy, and delicious.
We love the east meet west, the pizza with a twist, topped with minced meat, spinach, and chili.
We also love the pastas, all delicious.
Chicken milanese was just ok.
One of the dishes got switched (the pinky) because we were served a spicy pasta so the kids can’t eat it.
And the ravioli didn’t come after we waited a while. The ravioli at last served, and it’s on the house because they make us wait too long.
We visited on Ied, so this might affect the service rate. Maybe because they are not full team, but we are ok with that.

Food is not really that good. The pizza gets cold very fast and when it’s getting cold it gets hard to bite. Ambience is good though. But price is a little bit expensive considering the service is not really good. At first the waiter was very polite, but we were “kicked out” as we were still sitting at the table few minutes after 10 pm. It is understandable that the restaurant is closed at 10 pm, but it is a little bit rude to ask the guests to go because the guests are still sitting 7 minutes after 10. We decide not to go back again to this restaurant and will not recommend this restaurant to anyone we know. Thank you for the experience.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Jakarta. And for the pizza, there’s no doubt about it. They imported their pizza oven directly from Italy to Jakarta.
And their pizza is listed in the top 50 Asian Pacific pizzas.
I think this type of pizza dough is the best. Crunchy on the edges and still a little soft texture in the middle. Plus the sauce is balanced.
For other menus, there is also a steak that tastes decent in my opinion. And the place is a bit small but for the highligh is the pizza which is really good.

pizzeria cavalese will always be my top of mind option for pizzas!!! def one of the best + worth the price options in jakarta with its large variety of menu which i have tried many of and all of them hits the spot first time i tried out pizzeria cavalese was at its MOI branch and fell in love at my first try but i have always been going to the subter branch ever since bcs i think the road around moi is too congested to get to and the sunter branch is pretty accessible
the place is comfy enough whether you’re going with a date, with your family or your friends. the staffs are also all very nice we brought a baby and a stroller and the staffs helped bring the stroller up and down the 2nd floor, the baby was also given a ballon dog
last time i went there i got:
larga pollo alla genoa pizza
large piedmont pizza
arrancini
mushroom soup
lasagna
ravioli (the truffle one)
tiramisu latte
lychee tea
another drink i forgot
which totaled at about 700-800k rupiah
pretty okay price point tbh
the lunch were for 4 people and we were so stuffed and had to bring home the left over pizza slices which were almost the amount of a full large pizza
if you’re going through gmaps to decide whether to try this place out then this is your answer: you 100% should!!
