My husband and I drove from Orlando to Leesburg to try this location. There are barely any locations left in Orlando besides Apopka area, and East of Orlando. The chicken was fresh! Everything was good. The coleslaw was too watery/runny and too sweet. The staff were very sweet and informative. We will be back!

Wonderful food! Very old building that is positioned right beside a KFC and a Popeyes directly across the street. So happy we ate where we did. Maryland has the other 2 competitors beat hands down.

Stopped in while visiting my parents. First timer as there are no Maryland Fried Chickens in SW Florida. It’s kind of funny, there is a KFC next door and a Popeyes across the street. No shortage of fried chicken in Leesburg
We got the 21 piece Family Bucket to go. It easily fed 5 of us with some leftover chicken. Hands down the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. The chicken is moist, the skin is crispy & the seasoning is out of this world good. We got cole slaw, baked beans and mashed potatoes & gravy for our sides. They were all very good. The cole slaw was one of the best I’ve had as well.
My son wanted onion rings. You MUST get an order if you are an onion ring fan. These are the real deal. Crispy and delicious.
For the price you can’t go wrong. We fed 5 people with leftovers for under $40.
5 stars for the fried chicken.
4 stars for the sides.
4 stars for the service. Friendly staff and the food was ready to go in under 10 minutes.
2 stars for the exterior/interior. Definately in need of an update. If you want a clean and modern dining room go to KFC/Popeyes. If you want great fried chicken go here.

Oh my God. This was ludicrous to say the least. This was my very first time trying Maryland’s Fried Chicken And the very last. It taste like I was eating hot fried rubber. I immediately went over to churches chicken. I wish they could delete comments because I’m not here to bash them however, I just pray someone sees it so they can at least notate to put Lawry’s seasoning on their chicken. This cost me $13 with no drink.

Ordered chicken and shrimp for takeout via the drive through which took so terribly long. The order taker was very courteous and friendly. The order was properly filled. The cole slaw was very good. Mashed potatoes with gravy was quite salty, beans were boring, like fresh out of a can. The chicken and shrimp were ok, but not much different then available at a gas station.

The building needs to be bulldozed as the menu looks DECADES old, the outside building sign lights are mostly burnt out. Bathrooms are outside and behind the building with no lighting. All the windows look like they haven’t been cleaned in years. So nothing about the building is inviting to get you to try the food.
