⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent experience – a true example of quality and professionalism

I am a chef in Porto in restaurant bem bom smash burger , and I came twice to have dinner to this restaurant , with my family. Both experiences were absolutely excellent.

The food was delicious and perfectly prepared, the restaurant was extremely clean, and even the toilets were spotless—something that says a lot about the overall standards. The organization of the place is very impressive, everything runs smoothly and professionally.

I would also like to highlight the service we received from the waitress EManuela. She is truly professional, very well organized, attentive to small details, and always caring about the customer’s experience. It’s becoming rare to find workers with this level of dedication and professionalism. She clearly plays an important role in the success of this restaurant.

I sincerely hope the management values her work and keeps her, because employees like her are a real asset.

Congratulations to the whole team. I will definitely come back and recommend this place without hesitation.

5 stars for excellent service and delicious seafood! This place was recommended by our Airbnb host and I’m so glad we decided to check it out. The manager was really friendly and helped us choose a wine from the menu, and then proceeded to build us a GIANT seafood platter that was absolutely delicious. The service was also quick and efficient, which was a nice change from the slower pace characteristic of being on an European island.

Dessert could’ve been better though. We got this pineapple cream dessert and it was a bit too sweet for my liking.

No reservations necessary. There are plenty of tables and their quick service allows for quick turnaround times.

Friendly service. A little wait for the food but worth it. We had passion fruit Sangria which was very nice. Fried Octopus and Seafood rice and we shared them both. Portions were substantial and very flavoursome. We went there at late lunchtime and got space without booking. Prices were fair to slightly high. Atmosphere resembled a little like a franchise but still good. We would go back again

This was hands down the best meal I’ve had in Ponta Delgada! The rice with octopus was absolutely delicious – full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding, friendly, and welcoming. And the dessert with pumpkin? Wow… so good I was practically licking my fingers! I’m definitely coming back again before I leave.

We keep returning mainly because of the accommodating, friendly and multi-cultural staff. Whether you wish others to join your party later, switch tables or you’re in a hurry to catch a flight they accommodate your needs with a friendly smile. Moreover, all staff collaborates to make sure you have a pleasant experience. Xitaka is particularly popular for large parties on special occasions, e.g. birthdays (better make reservations in advance). Family and friends celebrate loudly and sing together, often multiple parties during the same meal. Regarding the food, the portions are generous, the menu is extensive and includes delicious local delicacies, e.g. grilled “lapas”, creamy tarro root with Pico sausage and octopus “à lagareiro”. The prices, although not exorbitant, do not exactly correlate with the dishes quality and simple ambiance which may limit visits to special occasions for most residents.

We enjoyed an excellent dinner at Xitaka. Their menu is well varied and servings are abundant and delicious. We paired it with the house chilled white wine. The shrimp creme was outstanding. Reservations are recommended. But we were kindly accommodated without them since we arrived early.

The room gets loud easily and we waited a little too long considering the restaurant was half empty. Otherwise, there is a large choice of meals, the platefuls were generous and the food tasted OK.
Booking is recommended.

The food here was AMAZING. It smelled and tasted SO good, and you get A LOT. We had the shrimp curry and the fish rice (see picture). The only downside is that it doesn’t have a nice view, you are practically looking at industry and houses.

It’s a large restaurant with outdoor seating, which would be great in the summer. The restaurant was a quarter filled. The service was good and we were advised to order less and the pork with chips would be too much and we were very grateful as I don’t like to waste food. The pork was cooked perfectly and was moist and tasty. The fries were hand cut and tasted of quality potatoes. We managed to squeeze in some dessert which was a sugar tart. The owners gave us free liqueur too.
