If you’ve read any of my posts, you know that I love to eat at Mom and Pop type restaurants. Always a place that the owner is on site and has a skin in the game. Well, this El Dorado Salvadorian restaurant is one of those
As I arrived I was greeted friendly and got seated right away. Chips and salts are brought out. The salsa for the chips was amazing. The chips nice and thin and crisp. Today was Tuesday so I got the taco special. $2 tacos as long as you buy soft drink or tea. I had two chicken and one pork street tacos on homemade corn tortillas. The chicken was very good. The pork was excellent. The toenail salsa that came on the side was tasty and just a little heat. Not too much for this gringo. LOL
So I want to thank Luis and his uncle who are the owners of this restaurant for the hospitality and the great food today. I really enjoyed our little chat about the difference and Mexican food and local eateries. I’ll definitely be back. Bring my partner and have a full dinner.

Food has always come out quick and the service has always been great. Hidden gem. Got the tacos on corn tortillas and they came out soft and full of flavor. Beans and rice were cooked well and had great flavor.

Excellent place for some tasty pupusas! There’s a great variety on the menu for the staples and El Salvadorian dishes and during the Sunday lunch rush, the owner even stepped in to help the servers and got a drink for me. Very friendly service and left very happy and full.

We had eggs with chorizo, jalapeño cheese dip, pupusas, rice and beans. Everything was delicious! Their chips are the best. Worth the 45 minute drive.

Had party of 17, they served us well.
The food is fantastic, the fresh margarita was incredible. No mix but fresh juices, seemed like fresh squeezed oranges . We will be back next year, thank you for exquisite food.

Amazing! We’ve eaten here several times and have never had a bad meal. Everything is cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. Tonight I tried the Salvadoran fried rice, and it was an incredible blend of Latin and Asian flavors—truly a 10/10. The pupusas are outstanding as well. You really can’t go wrong here. Highly recommend!

We were going to the place next-door, but it was really crowded so we went here instead. I am so glad we made that choice. The service was amazing. We had eight people and to show up without a call they took wonderful care of us. The cheese dip and the salsa was great and the guacamole was fresh and delicious. On top of those things my vegetarian fajitas were wonderful and everyone else I was with enjoyed their food as well. The bathrooms were clean and the location was easy to park and get in and out of. Our next trip to the car museum in Cartersville, we hope to visit this restaurant again. The food was a much better quality than your average Mexican restaurant. Their menu had many more options than I was used to, and we took advantage of that. I was glad to see that they offered Al Pastor and chorizo. They also had hamburgers and pizza. Wow they had something for everyone.

We came here on a Wednesday evening for trivia and appetizers/drinks.

The trivia was held on the bar side, which, although busy, was able to accommodate the crowd.

The service was top-notch! With the staff teaming up to make sure everyone was taken care of.

We had the Sweet Chili Fried Broccoli, the Garlic Parmesan Shrimp, the Guacamole, and the El Dorado Dip. Our favorites were definitely the El Dorado Dip and the Sweet Chili Fried Broccoli.

The drinks were very good as well, and the margaritas are definitely strong!

We’ll definitely be back, and we recommend you check this place out as well.

The food was great. Service was so so. Our server was definitely way overwhelmed. But the restaurant itself is a little sketch. They sat us close to the front door so every time someone opened the door we were freezing. They would hold the door open for people and the employees kept walking in and out of the door talking to each other. The restaurant itself just seemed very disorganized and chaotic. We will order to go from now on. We won’t be going back to the restaurant.
