My son and I were seated immediately when we came in on a weekday during dinner time at the sparsely filled restaurant. I had a cup of the lukewarm, average Gulf seafood gumbo for an appetizer. We also shared undercoated, under-fried pickles. My jacka$$ wrap was good. My son’s medium Texas squealer came out well done. We both enjoyed our local craft beers, chosen from the National and local craft and domestic beers menu.

Bar and low-top seating with a sports bar theme. Good service. Competitive pricing. 3.5% credit card fee. A local we spoke with said they have a better brunch and a new cook in the evening. We wouldn’t come back for dinner.

We went here for lunch on a Wednesday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Servers were super fast and efficient. They could not have been better. Both ladies that helped us were super kind and fun.

My wife had the champion burger, which was excellent! I had a bowl of seafood gumbo, which was the best I’ve had in Louisiana, Mississippi, or Alabama!

The chili here was pretty good too. I also had a bowl of that.

Service was fast and friendly as mentioned before, and the food was outstanding. We plan on returning to this wonderful bar and restaurant.

Food was amazing. Service was ok. Basically waitressed by 1 bar tender, so if you want a refill on anything, or salt, etc. you’ll have to head to the bar. But the food is A-maze-zing. My wife was angry the appetizer was so good because she could only eat half her meal . I’m pretty sure they have perfected the sweet potato waffle fries. I’ve never tasted one better in my life. And those beignets….. they should be a national treasure. We got them to go, and when we opened the box at home they didnt look anything like a beignets….honestly I dont care what they look like, they are heaven in you mouth.

So we hit this place on Valentine’s weekend AND Mardi Gras weekend and while the food was really great the professional staff is what stood out. They were efficient fast and yet still willing to take the time to banter a little despite being slammed. No slip ups in the order at out table and before we were seated we saw a mix up at other table and the server owned it but resolved it quickly.
We had a good time with good food.

The staff are attentive and leave nothing to be desired. They had great recommendations and kept our drinks filled and the kitchen was quick and food came out hot and just as ordered. I had the blind mule shrimp pasta and she had fried pickles and a chicken Caesar salad. Previous visits the shrimp and grits were the best I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was filled in with music and voices from the other customers cheerfully talking over dinner.

Thanks for a great evening out!

Hi, my family and I visited your establishment last night after the parade (1/30/26). We walked in and immediately saw open seating (which is hard to find after such an event). Cold and very hungry we were super excited to try the menu! We’d had your bar/restaurant on our list for some time, so very exciting to try it out! We were instructed to seat our selves and decided on a booth in the farthest corner. The waitress came over with a towel and cleaning spray and asked us to get up so she could clean the table (I hadn’t even realized the table wasn’t cleared). After an awkward interaction with the waitress, who never introduced herself…I was hoping it was a one off experience but I fear I was wrong. As a customer, I felt as if I was inconvinencing her just by being there. I’m big on vibes and hers were…honestly just crappy. After the cleaning experience, she came for drink orders, a party of three. She only took 2 drink orders and attempted to walk away without even taking our son’s drink order. We had to stop her and place his order. Again I just felt like myself and my family were not welcomed by her. After she brought the drinks to our table (holding them by the rim of the glass…ick, that’s where my lips go…not your fingers) my fiancé asked for straws. Apparently that was the final straw (for her and us), as she returned with the 3 straws, she literally tossed the straws on the table. Not necessary…so myself and my family walked out. While I was so looking forward to experiencing this atmosphere, it’s clear that we weren’t welcomed by your staff for whatever reason. Was it because we seated ourselves at the “wrong table”? Was it because we’re a same sex couple? Was she simply having a hard day? Regardless of the reasoning, it was disheartening to be made feel unwanted in your establishment. We encountered three different employees, one being our waitress who all watched us get up and walk out without speaking a word to us.

While this was a disappointing experience for us, I’m not sending this as a complaint but more as a learning opportunity…an opportunity to do better with your future customers. -Jodi
