The food is hit and miss. The crab cakes, fish sandwich, vegetables, and fries were good, but I do not recommend the clam chowder, crab soup and garlic bread. If you like bread pudding it’s excellent, but definitely skip the key lime pie because it’s watery and weak. The service was hurriedly delivered yet slow with the check.

Blackfins was a nice restaurant with good food. We tried their fried calamari and bang bang shrimp. The calamari was nice and crunchy and not rubbery. The marina sause was just good, not great. The shrimp was medium sized, cooked well and the sauce tasted VG. I had the fish and chips. A nice large piece of halibut fried with a nice coating. There tartar sause was just ok. Served with seasoned fries which were good. Coleslaw was just ok. Not enogh sauce and lacking flavor.. the restaurant is right on the water with nice views. The food was little more expensive than Muligans just down the street.

I go all over the world with my husband and today the service that we received from the server Tanya here was the best by a landslide. Knowledge of the menu, anticipation of our needs, and on point in every way. I’m really impressed enough to write this review. As always captain Hiram’s is excellent

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff and delicious food!
Live music outside most nights, trivia Tuesdays.
Fresh shrimp on ice with old bay was great.
Voodoo bacardi bucket was big, was good, not too sweet, not too strong either though.

After a fun day on the boat, we docked at Capt Hiram’s and went in for lunch.

The view is breathtaking!

We chose to dine at BlackFin (a bit more upscale restaurant vs their more casual one, being there are two at this resort)

We sat next to the water by open windows and listened to the waves and birds all around while basking in the sun and feeling the airs breeze.

We had cold beer to start and an order of their perfectly battered and fried Calamari. The kind with rings and tentacles (my favorite) and a side of cocktail sauce. Wonderful!

Next came the fish and chips. Hot and fresh! The batter was on the light and airy side and not too dense. The fries could have been crispier, but seasoned beautifully with skin on. Very yummy!

The Cuban was just ok. Nothing to rave about but enjoyable with PERFECT onion rings.

The grouper sandwich was great! Lots of flavor on the blanked fish with all the right veg.

The Cobb salad was outstanding! Loaded with bacon bits, blue cheese and perfectly blackened chicken (dressing was ordered on the side)

Service was very kind and attentive.

Capt Hirams is a unique and beloved spot for those who are out on the boat and need a good meal, those who are vacationing and want a beautiful atmosphere or the locals.
Its view and decor feels like paradise.

A lovely place. Good food. Right on the water. Be careful of the rain.
Blackfins at Capt Hiram’s in Sebastian, Florida, delivered a tasty lunch in a casual, tropical setting. I ordered the roast beef dip sandwich, and it was absolutely excellent—perfectly seasoned, tender meat on a toasted hoagie with a rich, flavorful au jus for dipping. It came with a generous portion of fries and hit the spot for a satisfying waterfront meal. The staff was friendly, the service was prompt, and the whole place has that laid-back, beachy vibe that makes you want to linger a bit longer. That said, there’s a word to the wise—watch where you sit. We opted for an outside table to enjoy the view and breeze, but when a torrential downpour suddenly hit, chaos followed. Many tables were completely exposed, and guests got soaked scrambling for cover. While parts of the outdoor area have awnings or umbrellas, they don’t offer full protection for their tables or occupants from a strong Florida rainstorm. If the skies look even slightly questionable, pick your spot with care—or be ready to move tables quickly. Despite the weather hiccup, I’d definitely go back for the food and the fun atmosphere. Just maybe I’ll check the radar first next time.

Thank you for a lovely Christmas Eve dinner. Food was prepared in a caring manner,ie presentation, quality, flavors. The crab stuffed mushrooms, french dip sandwich, wings and fries + more were all yummy . We thank Roman for his server skills as well as his warm personality. Two minor suggestions – for ladies who do not drink alcohol, a non alcoholic beverage such as Josh sparkling wine would be appreciated. A few more holiday lights and decor in the dining would be nice.

Our first experience eating at Blackfins in Sebastian Fl. It was one of the coldest day/night in Florida for over years. First of all there was no heat in the inside area, but was heat in the outside area. ( so stupid, that they had the inside area open) It was so cold and they didn’t offer us anything warm. The taste of the food was acceptable, but not for the price we paid, way over priced!! As an example, they charged $16 for 4 medium size mushrooms. If we knew, it would only be 4, we would not have ordered. I imagined during the normal Florida nights that would be hopping on a weekend, the whole experience would have been much different, but, but the cost of food was so exorbitant, that no view is worth going there again. Our party of 4 adults were not pleased or satisfied. The service was overall good
