This place is great. I live in Australia now and being back visiting family. This is both the restaurant my wife and I were looking for to eating here again. Food was great. We don’t get the best Mexican food in Australia and this was an absolute treat. Definitely recommend going.

Last night (Sunday evening) my husband and I had dinner here. I had Mon’s Special and my husband had a Chimichanga. It was really disappointing. The beans were barely warm. Perhaps because they drizzled some melted cheese sauce over the beans. The rice could only be described as cold, for both our plates. The chicken was not hot but it was ok. The chimichanga’s beef had little flavor. The server checked on us and we told home the temp issues. He offered to go warm the plates up but as the chicken on my plate would have turned to rubber and my husband’s salad would have deteriorated, we declined. I wish he had just offered to bring us a new order of hot beans and rice.
We have been considering trying out El Rapero and we will next time we are ready for a Mexican meal.

Usually I don’t like fancier mexican restaurants because it takes away the mexico feel to it, but this place was nice.
The price also wasn’t much higher as is with usual nicer places.
One thing it didn’t have was a napkin dispenser at the table. Spicy food makes my nose run and I’m a sloppy eater. I don’t like constantly asking for napkins.

The atmosphere was nice, and seating was comfortable. The staff was kind and quick.
Our food came out fast. The queso is delicious with the chips they automatically give you. However, I ordered the Taquitos Mexicanos. That comes with Guacamole, Pico de Gallo, and sour cream, with rice and refried beans on the side.
The beans looked incredibly unappatizing. They tasted fine, but looking at them just made me feel sick. The rice was amazing! Unfortunately I feel the taquitos were overcooked. They came out way darker than the picture showed, and the meat inside was actually super crisp. I could hardly bite through the hard shell.
Other than the food, everything else was great.

After eating at another Mexican restaurant today I honestly found myself wishing Mi Mexico were open earlier so I could have eaten from here instead! Coming from Texas, it is difficult to impress me as far as Mexican food is concerned but Mi Mexico is flavorful, consistent, and friendly! I am vegetarian so options are quite limited for me in Minot, but this place has a plethora of yummy vegetarian options, not just some beans and cheese messily slapped into a tortilla (like most Mexican restaurants here). Not to mention, the staff is so enthusiastic, friendly, and involved every single time I stop here. The owner is at the door to warmly greet guests most of the time, which is truly beautiful in this age of fast food and soulless transactions. Thank you, Mi Mexico, for the heartwarming food & customer service

DoorDashed some food tonight, food is always great. Along with the receipt came a little card with a thank u sticker. Thank u to who ever wrote it. Taking the time to write what you wrote up lifted my world especially with the holidays near. We all dont know what others are going through. The best message I’ve gotten in awhile. Made my heart feel the world that people do care. The food is delicious and never had any complaints. Thank you Mi Mexico.

The decor was nice, the staff was friendly with quick service. BUT, its disgraceful to call that food Mexican. Im a white boy from Georgia and even that was the most boring, bland, seasonless food ive ever had. ITS MEXICAN FOOD FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! ITS SUPPOSED TO HAVE SEASONING, SPICE, AND A LITTLE KICK! Im just baffled that the restaurant actually says authentic mexican food. That has to be the most extreme false advertising ive ever witnessed. Im mean cmon, stop using canned food and put some dang seasoning on it. If all Northern is that bland then im going hungry i guess.

Not one to complain about anything but we ate at your rest at aunt today mind you there was seven of us so quite a few. First of all the water was not very good. Not sure if it was carbonated or what but it had a real strange taste to it. Three of us ordered the #15 off the dinner menu. The tamales were ok. The enchiladas were the same thing as theburrito maybe a little different sauce. This is the first y to one I ever had an enchilada with no cheese. Atmosphere and service was good.
