I’ve been here a couple times for drinks. Stopped and get the bite to eat got the French onion soup and one of those specials was almost like a steak Ruben. The French onion soup had no depth to it. French onion soup should be rich the flavor should continue as you eat . At the end was just broth. And the take on the steak Ruben great idea great portion Zero taste. I could not get any flavors to melt together it just tastes like there was a little bit of coleslaw and maybe some beef on it. I will be back and I will try other dishes but my experience here it’s just three stars

I stopped by here for a quick lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It was pleasantly busy with locals. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing with plenty of seating. My waitress was friendly and attentive. Good was good. I ordered the pot pie Sunday special which came with a roll and salad. For dessert I got the raspberry cheesecake. Food was good and modestly portioned. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re in the Elkton area and are looking for a nice local restaurant

Sandy was our waitress. She was attentive, pleasant and didn’t rush us. The food was excellent. Atmosphere was wonderful and beautifully decorated. Highly recommend and ask for Sandy for a great experience and service.

Stopped in for lunch today . The atmosphere was great , the menu had a great variety of salads, sandwiches and entrees. The waitress was very nice and gave enough time to look over the menu. The 1/2 lb shrimp were steamed perfect , I personally ordered the Alabama slama chicken sandwich and it was definitely delicious. The crab melt was good and the hot turkey was excellent. I definitely will be coming back again…

This is probably a more solid place than I can give it credit for after this visit – I think I just wasn’t feeling it. We had the cream of crab soup, salad, chicken fried steak with coleslaw, and prime rib with broccoli. The food was okay. Service was okay. They have done a lot of work to the decor of the building, that was nice. It was weird that we arrived right when they opened, so there really wasn’t anyone in there – but the next family that came in was seated directly behind us in the closest booth possible. That was weird. But, we’ll give it another try!

I couldn’t wait to get the Thursday ‘ s chicken and dumplings. I also got some fried wings….. Unfortunately the chicken and dumplings did not have enough flavor and I was shocked. Some of the dumplings were huge….like fist size….and the chicken was so salty I had to rinse it a couple of times. One with too much salt the other with not enough. I was extremely disappointed. I ordered a take out and discovered this when I got home so I couldn’t complain in house. I was again thoroughly disappointed.
The young lady who waited on me was very pleasant and appreciated that.

My girlfriends and I had such a wonderful lunch at Baker’s. I haven’t been in many years, and remembered it being good then, and it still holds true. Our waitress (Jeanne) was awesome and super friendly. The atmosphere was cozy and the interior was really nice. We had a tough time deciding on what to order, great variety of options. I ordered the Alabama Slamma which came with fries and a pickle, I added a side of coleslaw. Oh. My. Lanta. It was delicious! The chicken was cooked perfectly, juicy and flavorful, the fries were fresh and tasty, and the coleslaw was amazing, like good old fashioned grandma kind. My one friend ordered the hot turkey sandwich with the homemade mashed potatoes. It looked amazing, and she enjoyed every bite. My other friend ordered the southwest chicken sandwich minus the bun and she also enjoyed hers. I had to end my lunch with a piece of cheese cake.. it was yummy. We already made plans to meet again here for another lunch date. The great food, prices and service is too good not to return.
The shepards pie and the ravioli with shrimp were both amazing! We had a very delicious dinner, both dishes had great flavor and were filling. We enjoyed every bite. The Smith island carrot cake was tasty after dinner treat!

The food was good, and service was good as well. I got the crab cake sandwich. It wasn’t huge, but was mostly lump crab cake with little filler. The bun seemed to be a basic potato bun, and it was not served with lettuce or tomato- just plain. I really like crab cakes, and am pretty particular about the quality. This wasn’t the best, but wasn’t bad either. It would have been better with lettuce and tomato. It was very reasonably priced. The fries were good.
It is a very pretty restaurant and seems like it would be a good place for a date. The one downside was how loud it was when we were there (6:30 pm on a weekday). There were several families with small children, including babies that cried most of the time we were there. I think it’s probably a better family restaurant than a place for a date, as conversation was difficult.

Love the dumplings. Open on Thanksgiving, 12 to 5.
We went there last Thanksgiving, the food was really good. The staff were right on top of everything.
They are great.
