I’m writing today to express my frustration with the terrible experience I had at Popeyes and the complete lack of customer service I received after getting the wrong order.
Along with my other food items, I ordered two apple pies and was told it would take an extra seven minutes to receive them. I was fine with that. However, when I got home, I discovered that the two apple pies I ordered were actually strawberry apple pies. I wasn’t too upset at first because mistakes happen, but when I called the restaurant about the error, I didn’t receive an immediate apology, nor were they willing to fix the mistake since my son had already eaten one of the pies without realizing it wasn’t the correct kind. I was told to come back—as if they were doing me a favor.
So, I drove back as instructed, expecting at least a sincere apology. Instead, I was handed a bag with new pies in complete silence. No acknowledgment, no apology. I was already frustrated, but I decided to let it go and headed home—only to discover once again that they had given me strawberry apple pies.
I called back, explaining that I had received the wrong pies again. The woman on the phone responded in an uncaring tone, insisting that I did receive apple pies. At that point, I was furious. I had already waited extra time to get my order right, yet I was being told I was wrong while looking directly at strawberry pies. She finally said, “We’ll have two apple pies waiting for you if you come back up.”
By now, I was wasting gas and patience, but I returned anyway to show them the mistake in person. I asked, “So does this look like apples to you?” She admitted that it didn’t and said she didn’t think I was crazy for correcting their mistake. Just to be sure, I cracked open the new pies right there to confirm they were actually apple before leaving.
I ended up driving home with open, cold pies—and no apology or sense of urgency from anyone involved. After all this, you can be certain that Popeyes will never receive my business again.
We usually eat Popeyes every two weeks.
We had to wait over 20 minutes and then the wings were over cooked and a lot smaller than the past. The red beans and rice was so salty that I threw it out.
We are done with Popeyes! They keep going down hill on service, food quality and size.
Well, I (typically) enjoy their food, but the last few times there has been feathers on the chicken when I get wings (more frequently)… I understand that it’s a busy place sometimes, and small things like that can easily go unnoticed, but it’s rather off-putting. I can understand a couple, but I wonder who processes their chickens because there shouldn’t be a feather 8 out of 10 times I order them. And for the workers to Never notice? I more than likely won’t be doing wings from here again. I might still do the family pack of tenders for dinner eventually, though.
