Located in Lamar Park Shopping Center, BKK thai kitchen + bar is a stylish choice for classic Thai dishes. BKK’s interior, locally designed by SquareFoot Design Studio, reflects the hip sensibilities of the surrounding area while also paying tribute to Thailand’s coastal, cool environment. With options for both inside and pet-friendly outside dining, BKK offers the choice to enjoy the coastal weather, watch the art of sushi rolling, or witness mixologists design craft cocktails at one of two bars. Opened in July 2017 by brothers Ryan and David Rios, BKK (airport code for Bangkok) was inspired by travels to Thailand and other countries.

Parking was a bit limited, but manageable. Most of the dishes were excellent—fresh, well-seasoned, and delicious. However, one dish had meat that was slightly undercooked and therefore a bit tough. Overall, it was a great dining experience and I would definitely return.
They do brunch on Sundays.
We did multiple starters and a roll to get a wide flavor variety. The Golden Money Bags are stuffed full and fried to perfection, light and crispy. Firecracker shrimp also perfectly lightly fried. Sauces were complex and tasty. Loved the spider roll.
Decor might appear industrial or sterile, but from the second you enter the door the staff adds the warmth and vibe you’d expect while Coasting
When it’s Thai time, it’s BKK!
I ordered the Spring Rolls (appetizer) and Drunken Noodles and specified two times to the server “no bell peppers”. When she repeated the order, my companion said “don’t forget- no bell peppers”.
The springs rolls did not come out as an appetizer, nor did they come out with my meal. What did come out with my meal though was bell peppers. The waitress seemed confused about the spring rolls when I reminded her and then I pointed out the bell peppers and reminded her “no peppers” was mentioned 3 times . In retrospect, I should have just picked out the peppers myself because clearly that’s what they did in the kitchen because when the dish came back to me 7-8 minutes later with the Spring Rolls, the spring rolls were piping hot and the noodles were lukewarm. One would think that they would come out steaming hot since it was just freshly “re-made” right? I mentioned this to the server when she asked “how is everything?” And I got the usual “so sorry to hear that, will there be anything else?” And presented us the check. This was a Sunday at noon so I can’t even defend them by saying they were busy as they were not. I try to give establishments the benefit of the doubt but I’m also tired of paying high prices for subpar dining experiences. (Previous experience being lukewarm pineapple curry with ZERO pineapples).
The service was amazing and my family could not stop raving about how delicious the food was and how nice the staff was. The team truly worked together like a family to accommodate all 20 of our guests.
For appetizers we had the Chips + Curry and the Vegetable Crispy Rolls. We selected the Pineapple Fried Rice and Chili Basil Beef Thai as our entrees and they were both crowd favorites! I loved the decorations on the Panna dessert which was such a light and lovely way to cleanse our palate.
