Maybe it was my upbeat smile, but I somehow got jumped ahead of five people in line! I was starving, and boy, this place didn’t disappoint. I knew I wanted the chicken and biscuits, and they were incredible. I can usually tell the food will be great if the staff is putting in the work, and this team was nonstop. Everyone was on point with customer service, and the guys on the line handled the food with great care and efficiency. Good job, Blue Hen—keep up the hard work!
P.S. My wife is a bit of a breakfast potato connoisseur, and even she was impressed.

His place is a Jen. My husband had the corn beef with eggs over easy. It was delicious. I had the full order of the biscuits and gravy with the best over easy eggs. The place is fun and full of energy. All the wait staff are cheerful and appear to love what they do. Lots of regulars arrived ahead of us and had their coffee waiting for them. Can’t wait to return.

The food was above and beyond my expectations! The service was nothing short of outstanding, and everyone was so friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. This was my first time at this location, and I’m definitely looking forward to going back to try more of the delicious food! I will be back for more!

Very friendly staff and immediately seated! Food was super fresh and amazing. Can see the kitchen in view and that actually makes me feel at ease. Pictured is the Datil BBQ Burger and aside from being more cooked than asked it was very good! My wife had the fried green tomato BLT and she loved it. Will visit again!

If you don’t mind waiting 45 minutes to an hour, you then you’re in for a treat. This restaurant has absolutely delicious food with generous portions. Their biscuits are made fresh, fluffy on the inside and just the right amount of crispness on the outside. Have a little butter and honey with them and you’ll have yourself a nice little treat.
So if you live here or are just here on a weekend trip, come to the Blue Hen and enjoy some delicious southern food!!

Cute place with some very tasty breakfast foods. I really enjoyed their biscuit and gravy… very tender and could be cut with a fork. Eggs and bacon were on point. Only criticism I’d make is the bizarre decor of the bathrooms. Cat tarot cards and a naked woman? Maybe take some funds and hit Hobby Lobby and invest in some country decor, you know, pictures of cows, chickens, that sort of thing? Lol

Quaint place with large portions! Our server was quick and attentive. The food was very good with large portions. Their peach butter was to die for! I could’ve eaten that all day. The crab quiche is worth trying. The only downside was it was kind of pricey. With tip our breakfast for 4 came to almost $100. We didn’t get anything fancy. Get there early, otherwise you’ll have to park down the street and wait for a while.

This was my first visit to Blue Hen Cafe’ since they moved over to West King Street. I came in as part of our City’s series of Coffee with a Commissioner. What a beautiful spot!
Ample parking out front, prompt fast service with charm and personality. A great cup of coffee was offered up right away. I ordered the 2 egg breakfast sandwich with bacon. This was served on a tasty brioche bun. Plenty to fill you up for sure!

What an unassuming gem of a cafe in St. Augustine. It’s easy to miss unless you intentionally go to it. There are plenty of healthy options. They use fresh ingredients and the coffee is also of great quality. The service is also very good as they come around often to make sure you’re enjoying the food and experience.
