I drove an hour to come here after seeing a photo review someone else posted. All the hibachi places close to me have bland rice. I am pregnant and have been craving decent hibachi rice and veggies like the one by my old house down south. Watami did not disappoint. The rice, the veggies, and chicken were so amazing!! Best hibachi in the Pittsburgh area hands down. I’ll gladly drive the hour for their food. So so impressed and very happy to finally find a good hibachi restaurant.

I’ve Been wanting to try this place out and on a Friday night around 9:30 we did just that. There was no wait and we were promptly greeted by a friendly hostess that we followed to our seats. There was a party of 4 that arrived at the same time as us that ended up at our hibachi table. The hibachi chef was a little hard to understand at first. However, that all went away once this well seasoned professional began the very entertaining demonstration all while cooking our delicious hibachi dinners. Now I have been to around 4 different hibachi restaurants and I believe that this chef was by fary favorite preformer. He did some pretty cool things that I havent seen done before. I would compare it to a temu fire spinner… I mean that in the best way possible. He was very generous with the sake and kept my 11 year old giggling the entire time.

I typically avoid hibachi places, especially at dinner, because you’re paying a lot for a show, yet leaving hungry. Watami breaks the mold. A great show and tons of food at a reasonable price. I went there as part of a group of 5. We had 4 filet mignon and one scallops for lunch. With tip, the bill came to $110 ($22/person). For this, we had what was probably the most entertaining cook I’ve seen yet, along with so much food that 2 people took food home and those that finished wished they had taken some home. While Watami doesn’t have the fanciness of other hibachi places, it more than compensates with the cooking show, food and price. I will definitely be back.

My husband and I came to Watami on our wedding day September 9, 2023 to celebrate with family! Our family got the EMPEROR’S dinner it was delicious!! We enjoyed so much so we returned on September 9, 2024!! We love the food. We love the atmosphere we like how clean it is and the staff is wonderful!! We went again today just because and had an amazing server/waitress named Icy !! She was great!! We will be going back and recommending this place to everyone.

An exceptional dining experience with a diverse menu offering both food and drinks. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the service is impressively quick. The dishes are not only delicious but also generously portioned. I’ll definitely be returning and wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

We reserved a private room for 15 people at 5:00 PM to celebrate a friend, and the experience was extremely disappointing.
We were not seated until 5:45 PM. One chef did not begin cooking until 6:30 PM for half of the room, and the second chef did not start until 7:10 PM. Our sushi took nearly an hour to arrive, and service was minimal because our server was assigned other tables as well. It then took over 45 minutes just to receive our checks. Only five members of our group received a small 10% discount, which felt inadequate given the circumstances.
To make matters worse, the food lacked flavor and was underwhelming overall. There was no manager on staff to address our concerns, and the staff showed little compassion regarding our repeated complaints. Due to the poor service and delays, we did not leave until 8:30 PM.
What should have been a special celebration turned into a frustrating and poorly managed evening. Very disappointing first experience.

We absolutely love this location. It’s great for a family get together at the hibachi table, a quiet bit in the back at the sushi bar, or a quick stop on the way home for take out. The food is always fresh, service is awesome, people are very friendly. So your feet stick to the carpet in some areas it’s well worth the visit here!

I had an order out and I wasn’t impressed with the quality. The filet mignon I ordered did not seem like anything but steak. The photos of sushi on the website in doordash show very quality looking sushi but what I got was pink ginger pasty wasabi and a sushi roll with uneven textured rice, rough nori, smothered in spicy Mayo. I paid extra to have this delivered to me because it was a little far from my house, but I thought the sushi looked yummy in the photo. Won’t make that mistake again.

Went here for Mother’s Day. We sat at the table the waitresses were very nice constantly coming to the table to help like she read my mind or face lol it was clean and cute the food was amazing
General TSO’s and orange chicken was delicious very citrusy probably how’s it really is supposed to taste compared to other restaurants the lo mein noodles were soft, but I liked it. My husband did not. Decent portions it even heated up well because I couldn’t finish my whole plate

The Hibachi is excellent, the chef was very fun and engaged with the table, in addition to the usual stuff he was giving out balloon animal hats to everyone, taking requests, and talking with everyone here and there individually. The portions were huge as well. A bit expensive but in line with what you’d expect. Our 6 year old and 2 year old both had an awesome time!
