I stopped for lunch and ordered a sliced pork sandwich and onion rings. The sandwich was ok. The pork did not have a lot of flavor. It tasted like it was roasted in an oven which is fine but not what I expect from a BBQ restaurant especially one in business since the 1940’s. I admit the onion rings were the best I’ve ever had. Crunchy and good flavor. The staff was very friendly. I’ll go back but I’ll try a different sandwich.

This was my first time there. I ordered the minced pork with slaw on the side with beans with a tea. Pork has no sauce which i was told by the nice lady taken my order and was good but they only carry condiment packets a sauers bbq sauce . Not fan of that sauce. The slaw was definitely different not bad just different. I didn’t like it by itself but was good on the bbq. Also not a fan of the bean they where like pork & beans.

It’s R.O.’s, man! I’ve eaten her for as long as I can remember. My grandparents, parents, and I all took dates here. Got to have my final R.O.’s meal a few days before they closed: small minced with slaw, hot dog with pimento cheese, fries, and a Cherry Lemon Sundrop. About as “Gastonia” as you can get.
I realize there have always been better BBQ joints around, but R.O.’s was almost part of my family. I’m gonna miss em.

Little while in the wall. We got cheese burgers were delicious, French fries very crispy and flavorful. I don’t like liver, but I heard I had to try the popular livermush, and I’m glad I did. It was very good.

I was quite pleased with my visit here. The food was great! That ‘slaw’ is delicious. This was my first visit here but my friends had been here multiple times. All the uptalk they had done was proven correct. Get a burger and some of that cherry lemonade Sundrop. Also, couldn’t help but check out the homie standing in the corner!!!!! Recommended!!!!!!

I got a cheeseburger here and it was FLAT. and it tasted horrible. When I got home, my dogs wouldn’t even eat it. Chili cheese fries were pretty good though. But the burger was just disgusting. The sweet tea also isn’t sweet at all. Had good service I suppose. Also some of the prices are WILD. 4 dollars for an EGG? I can buy a whole carton of eggs for 4 dollars.
