Tellers serves authentic interpretations of regional Italian cuisine. Traditional methods of Italian cooking and the philosophy of using seasonal ingredients with integrity form the basis of the house made pastas, wood oven-baked Neapolitan pizzas, and locally sourced vegetables and steaks cooked over a wood burning grill. Tellers’ extensive Italian wine list highlights the breadth and diversity of Italy’s wine growing regions and unique varietals. Tellers is located in the historic First National Bank gallery amongst the original teller booths, which have been meticulously restored. The atmosphere at Tellers and The Great Hall embraces the building’s rich heritage as a convivial communal space.

I am not one to write reviews, but my boyfriend and I went to Tellers to celebrate Valentine’s Day, and it was beyond subpar. To start, we were not informed when we made our reservation that the menu would be different and specialized for Valentine’s Day. We checked online, not even 30 minutes before we arrived, and it still showed their normal menu. When we were seated, we noticed that the menu did not have its price listed. Our server did not tell us how much it was going to cost, dancing around the topic instead of telling us directly. But when we arrived, they did make it very clear that if we chose to leave, we’d be met with a cancellation fee, not telling us how much said cancellation fee would be.

My boyfriend and I do not drink, and upon learning about this, our server’s demeanor completely shifted. She was far more blunt and curt with us; it was clear she realized she wasn’t going to get as big a tip because we weren’t going to have drinks, and she treated us as such. Our server, while not directly rude, was far from the politeness we were expecting. I have had much better, polite, and vigilant servers at basic chain restaurants. She forgot to give us our bread with our salads, and when I asked her about it at the end, she wasn’t apologetic, instead bluntly saying she could throw it in a to-go box. We were also forgotten about when we were done with dessert. We sat for a good 20 minutes before she came to ask if we wanted the check.

Next, the space was not comfortable in the slightest. We were less than a foot away from the couples sitting next to us and could barely hear each other over the sound of the conversations around us. There wasn’t any music playing, and everyone was trying to talk over each other to hear their own date. We spent almost the whole night in silence.

The food was very mediocre for the price; my boyfriend’s duck was good, but my entree was small in comparison, and one of the ravioli was cold in the center. The dessert was even worse; while a few of the treats were good, my macaron was bad. It was overbaked, it wasn’t chewy, it was hard, and the shell was not crumbly. My boyfriend’s was very good, and it’s clear they were simply rushing out the food, worrying more about quantity instead of quality.

For the price of the meal, the food quality was not there, the service was not expected, and the space was beyond uncomfortable. While very pretty, I will not be going to Tellers again, and I would not recommend it. If you want to go somewhere nice for a date night, there are many other nice restaurants in OKC that will have better service and better food. As well as the fact that you are not going to be put in a very sketchy situation where they will not tell you the price of the food and threaten you with a cancellation fee.

Just had dinner here last night and I brought three of my closest friends. Service was incredibly slow but our waitress let us know it was her first time on her own so we of course gave her grace. We felt bad for the table next to us because every time the waitress came by, the person at the end of the table had to get up and move out of the way. Eventually they just moved to sit on the booth side next to their date. Food was delicious and the Christmas decorations are a must see this time of year!

Had such a great experience with our server! She was super attentive, knew the menu inside and out, and even gave us great recommendations. Honestly one of the best servers we’ve had in a long time. We were a party of four, and it was my first time dining at Tellers. Everything we ordered was delicious. We tried three appetizers and three entrées, and I ended up sharing since I wasn’t super hungry

I honestly wish we would have come here when they didn’t have their Valentine’s Day menu. I came into the night excited for some sort of pasta, but the four courses of their special menu were disappointing. The bread was cold and the difficult to chew. I had the smoked beef appetizer which was good, but the beet was overpowering. My husband got the scallop crudo which was okay when you got to where the lemon had sat for a bit, but there was a decent portion of the dish where you were just eating raw scallop.

Then I got the cucumber and tomato appetizer which had very little cheese or dressing, but a hefty portion dill. The tomatoes were an odd texture. My husband liked his salad, I can’t remember the name. The beef wagyu was delicious, no hits here. My husband had the lobster tail and it was mediocre with the risotto having very little flavor – even just a little garlic or salt would have helped it. Which is so sad because risotto is one of our favorites. I did really enjoy the dessert box we got to take home. I feel like this would have been a very different experience if we would have came on a different day, but I probably won’t be back. We would’ve been able to have a tastier meal for a lot less than $400 somewhere else.

I don’t like giving bad reviews and many times I just chose to not even write one because I dislike giving them so much. However I just can’t wrap my head around how mediocre this was. It was a beautiful restaurant, and the food a had decent presentation that was were it ended. Pictures say some many words and if you noticed the pizza was floating, and the 100 layer lasagna was an empty cupboard. Brick oven pizza should be fired, crispy and it just wasn’t, because of all the moisture. I don’t know if the cheeses are so fresh they didn’t squeeze the water out or the cloth was clogged but watery pizza is a problem. My wife liked her lobster ravioli, she gave me a bite and it was ok but nothing that wowed me. My 100 layer lasagna had some serious issues being bland from all the pasta and little meat and sauce. The 2 dollops of cheese on top helped moisturize it but added zero flavor. I scooped the sauce on the side placed on each bite until it ran out. They gave us a dessert for our Anniversary and that was a nice ginger spice cake. If you are wanting to come here to grab the photos, it is gorgeous, grab a drink enjoy the scenery maybe try your luck with a pizza.

Oh my gosh, what an awesome place! My wife and I went there for the first time ever on the afternoon of New Year’s Eve. First, if you love art deco, you will really love the architecture from floor to ceiling. I found it to be beautiful. Also, they decorate BEAUTIFULLY for Christmas, it’s just stunning to see and walk around. You can also see very cool bank vaults, safes, old cars and other nostalgia. We ended up finding seats at the bar to have drinks and also to order food from the restaurant. We had wine and I also had an Old Fashioned. The bar staff was just really friendly, the food was DELICIOUS, and the atmosphere was classy. Whether you are in your 20s or baby boomers as we are, you will find a gem in this place. Oh, my wife had stuffed cannoli and I had the wood fired pizza. Great experience!!! We will be back.

The two of us had an early dinner on a non-holiday Monday. We had reservations and were seated quickly. The old bank architecture is fabulous and it was difficult to not just sit and admire the view. Our server was knowledgeable, helpful, and very attentive. We were not impressed with the food. I had the Short Rib Rigatoni al Forno. The meat was tasty and tender. The pasta was cold and the sauce was just okay. This was the first Italian Style restaurant that I’ve ever been in that did not serve bread with either oil or butter. It is an expensive experience, only the atmosphere was worth the cost.

We had a lovely lunch. It was mid afternoon and we did not wait, but we ate at the bar. We had great service and the bartender was very attentive. I had a lemon drop and the hamburger. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. It’s a must visit for the Christmas Decorations!

I am so glad I found this place for dinner. the Beef Carpaccio was unbelievable and the lobster raviolio was just as good.
My server Jessica was also fantastic. I expect to be back in town twice a year for the next 4 years for a trade show and I will be here every visit.

I got the Lobster & Raviolo. It was ok. Not worth $34 for 3 pieces of Lobster and a few bits of lobster. I also did not like that there was a wedding going on at the same time. I love weddings, but it did not seem fair to the wedding party.

Update: talked to a manager and was able to fix it. Manager did great.
