Habanos has my favorite meal in the keys and one of my top 3 favorite meals anywhere. Plain and simple, I love this restaurant. I have been coming for years and while I have tried a few different items, I always come back to my usual order. The dolphins filet, cooked scampi style (garlic and white wine), with onion rings and black beans with rice. My husband will order the same but blackened. Both are so good that we usually split half and half. The service here is quick and friendly. I have learned to recognize the same staff over the years. The food quality is very high with very fair pricing. Very authentic Cuban dining. I recommend this place to everyone and look forward to my visits each time I am in town.

We stopped by on a whim and were glad we did! The Cuban wrap was amazing. So flavorful! We had it with churrasco and it was so good. Probably the best chimichurri we’ve ever had.
We especially enjoyed having waterfront seating.

*EDIT: we went back for dessert to go and were charged $17 for “two” small pieces of flan/cake. Way overpriced. Make sure to check prices on the desserts before just ordering!

Perfect service. Can’t expect better than this. And the hog fish fillet (fried and blackened) was literally amazing and yummy. The tastiest fresh fish I’ve had in a long time. Expensive but definitely worth it! Also tried the cuban pizza which was good. Plenty of parking available. My server was awesome and assured me what I was ordering would be really good and it was.

3/9/25–So, we just arrived in Key West at a house we rented as an emergency backup after the not-so-great one we originally booked through VRBO. Turns out, not everything that shines is gold! Thankfully, a friend recommended this new place, and my husband decided to take it. We drove two hours from Hollywood, Florida, and let me tell you—this house is superb.
As if Jesus Himself put His signature on this new adventure, we discovered a Cuban restaurant just a short drive away. Naturally, one of the first things we did after unloading was check it out. The place was beautiful, with an amazing view. But since our house was so gorgeous (and we paid good money for it), we decided to order to-go and enjoy our meal there. I got a simple chicken soup, while my husband went for conch fritters (though I think they had a fancier name on the menu). I had a Fanta, and, of course, my husband had his all-important café con leche—because, let’s be real, Cubans know how to make coffee. Every single Cuban spot we’ve visited so far has served amazing coffee.
While we waited, we watched other customers come in, some with dogs—small and big. The view of the boats and the ocean was stunning, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the people were friendly. Definitely a good start to this unexpected adventure!

Great food, and when I say food, it is food or a snack. Rice and beans were phenomenal. The palomilla was great. The view is great too. It reminded me of my food in Brazil. The price is very good if you compare it to any key island. I recommend this restaurant.

This was a random stop, but so happy we did. Our lunch was outstanding and the sangria is divine. The croquette Cuban is delicious along with the sweet plantains.
