The food is good, maybe even Very Good, as is the service.
We like the Salad and Pizza combo. I had the combo of Mushroom Pizza and Italian Salad (see photo). Although both were reduced in size, it was more than enough for lunch with plenty leftover to take home for another meal.
In New Jersey we take pride in having great Pizza. So, California pizza will never win any awards here, but we have to give them credit for a “good try.”

Been hear 4x now…. First time was fine. Relatively quick and food was fine.
2nd & 3rd were with the same waiter who was very friendly and did his best with speeding things along.
We are a family of 5 with 3 kids.
He got us the booth with no issues.
Crayons and brought over extra coloring pages.
But the kitchen was slowwwww and ultimately they forgot about a meal.
Came today and currently sitting here and writing this review because that’s how slowwwww things are. The place is about half empty.
The greeting staff, had to go and ask the mngr if a booth is okay with 2 kids and a 3 month old because according the the “rules” a child should be in a high chair.
Mngr said “I’ll allow it for now”.
Because the alternative is to have an infant who can’t hold her head up sit on a chair on her own?
Let’s continue — He grabs 2 sets of crayons and coloring pages, yet places only one and says to the kids, you’ll need to share. The kids looked up at him like “sir, are you feeling okay?”
After having to point out that he had 2 in his hands.. he agreed to place two crayons down.
Let’s continue — placed an order of 2 apps + 1 cheese pie + 1 main dish.
They got the first two we ate EVERYTHING and they forgot the main dish.
Will probably charge me for it… But let’s see…update — they did charge me.
Mngr Dylan did come over to the table next to ours to apologize and comp their meal+app. I tapped his shoulder gave him an update about our situation.
He came back with $50 in store credit which got the extra star on this review.
I still left a 15% tip on a $100 bill.

This California Pizza Kitchen location is a worthwhile opportunity to refuel the calories burned walking through the mall, or even as a standalone dining experience. It kind of straddles the barrier between fast-casual and a real sit-down place. Their topping variety even outmatches some higher-visibility nation-wide pizza chains.

Went there yesterday. It did not seem overly busy and we were able to get seated right away. And that was the end of a nice experience. Had a server that seemed to be struggling. He came to us for our order and had trouble with his tablet. We only ordered a pizza with mushroom and onions and he seemed to have trouble locating the mushroom and onions. He told us the order went in and was being prepared. A little while later he comes over to us to say that he is having trouble with the table across from us with their bill and was sorry for the delay. Not sure what that had to do with us but then he proceeded to go to the table next to us and tell them the same thing. A little while passes and he comes back again with a credit card that he was swiping and starts to apologize for the delay and seems to not remember he already took our order. When we say “we are waiting for our pizza” He then says “Oh sorry” And then proceeds to go to the table next to us. We sat there for what seemed like hours. We actually where there for probably 40 minutes and then called him over and asked where our pizza was. He said that they were extremely busy and the kitchen was backed up. My husband asked when will it be ready and he got an attitude and said he didnt have any idea because they are busy. At that point we told him since they are backed up and our pizza has not even been started we were going to leave. Horrible experience, horrible service. Dont waste your time going there.

Complete rip off this place is. I got 6 small chunks of brisket on my $25 pizza. Also they forgot the onions. Been coming here for years and the portion size keeps getting smaller. Won’t be back.

Would give service a 10 if I could!!! Our server, Kristen and the manager, even the host that assisted seating us absolutely fantastic! Enjoyed a birthday dinner of seven. Busy mall with tons of foot traffic they always strive to make everything perfect. Culinary team was working so hard too! Great team really looking forward to coming back…. by the way the Thai crunch salad is fantastic.

We waited almost 2 hours for a table at California Pizza Kitchen, while multiple groups who arrived after us were seated ahead of us. There was no explanation, no transparency, and no apology from the staff or management.
Waiting is fine — being ignored and treated unfairly is not. The complete lack of organization and respect for customers’ time ruined our experience. This location seriously needs better management. Would not recommend.

Stopped in with my husband & children, we were seated within 9 minutes & attended by the servers pretty quick. We enjoyed our time there, the meals were good, servers were friendly & efficient. The environment felt & looked clean. Pretty busy, could tell they’re short staffed but that’s 2023 for most businesses. I took some pics, please try the sangria flight. It tasted like a treat.

Great place to get lunch. The meals are freshly made to order and there is a variety of healthy yet tasty options. The price is very reasonable. The alcoholic beverages are very light, more of a refresher to compliment the meal. Overall great atmosphere with something for everyone to enjoy. The kids menu was also to my liking. Will go again
