New to us, yet the Plea Bistro has been around since 2006 – so they are doing something special! We enjoyed a nice meal – having the fresh caught SeaBass and Roasted Carrots, and split the Apple Pear salad. We also were served a bread and spread plate, a nice touch. They have daily specials and a robust wine and cocktail list. We didn’t explore it, there is a nice looking bar and seating area.

This is a terrific place! I stumbled upon it over a year ago when they were part of RESY. Sadly they aren’t anymore. Love their bruschetta and soup/salad/lunch combo. Daily soups are always homemade and delicious. Wait till they bring the dessert tray around! Carrots cake and flourless chocolate are my favorites

Had a wonderful dinner at Plae Bistro in Green Bay! We tried a little bit of everything, and it all came together for a really memorable meal.

Starters & Sides:
• Vegan Chili: Extremely well-flavored and hearty. You could serve this to a burly non-vegan guy and he’d never guess it was vegan (not that it matters — it’s just great chili!). Very filling.
• Artichoke Dip: Bomb dot com. The chips were salty and perfect, and the bread bowl was tender and easy to slice — almost like making little artichoke-dip sandwiches. Loved this.
• Bread Service: Honey butter was the star here. The buns could’ve been warmer, but still good overall.

Salads:
• Plae Signature Salad: Great portion size with a really nice mix of veggies. The mango was a fun surprise, and the wasabi dressing was something new for me — and SO good.
• Apple Pear Salad: Very well-balanced flavor-wise. I’m personally not a leafy-salad person (my friend put it best: “I’m just not a leafy gal”), and I found myself wishing it was more of a chopped salad — but that’s just preference. Still, the combination of ingredients was delicious and unique.

Entrees:
• Lemon Basil Pasta with Chicken: Light, perfectly sauced, and overall very enjoyable. Could use just a touch more salt, but still a solid dish.
• Duck: Tender, juicy, full of flavor. The only note is the skin could’ve been a bit crispier, but the potatoes that came with it were cooked beautifully with perfect texture.

Dessert:
We ended the night with the Better Than Sex Cake — dark chocolate, tons of Heath bar pieces, and that comforting “mom’s homemade cake” vibe. Absolutely delicious.

The interior is cute, modern, and not loud at all, which made for a relaxing night out. Service was attentive and kind, and I really appreciate the number of veggie-friendly options on the menu.

In total: loved it. Definitely recommend, and I’ll absolutely be back!

Food was delicious. Dessert was amazing. My husband had the 160z cowboy ribeye with green beans and mushroom spatzle. The ribeye came with a onion caramelized bourbon glaze. He said it was good. I had the crab tenderloin with the green beans and mashed potatoes. It was delicious. For dessert he had the rum cake and I had the better than sex chocolate cake. They specialized the cake for me due to my nut allergy and it was delicious. We went for our anniversary and there was a signed note on our table saying “happy anniversary.” Overall very good experience and very delicious food.

Stopped for lunch with my mom. Absolutely most pleasant accommodating waitress. Atmosphere was fun and sophisticated and very nice private booths available. The food was large portions, outstanding flavor and I felt priced appropriately. We will be back! (Grilled Romaine Salad with 5 oz of Ahi Tuna shown in photo)

This last visit was beyond disappointing and has completely changed how I view this establishment.
I had just finished a 2 month treatment related to my gut health the day before, so we went out to eat to celebrate my recovery… Only for me to find a whole BUG in my caesar salad.
The staff apologized and took it off the bill, which I appreciate, but the experience was still concerning. I wasn’t expecting a full explanation but there was NO reassurance at all that they do prioritize basic sanitation, properly wash their produce OR that the staff responsible would be addressed to prevent this from happening again. Instead it felt like they wanted to offer a quick apology and move on. Basically brushing it aside.
Sorry but a whole bug in your food is a health issue, not just a “free meal” inconvenience.
I truly hope they address this because a lot of people/families dine here and deserve to feel confident that their food is being handled safely.

We had a great experience tonight. The King salmon was cooked perfect. All of the sides were also perfect. My son had the strawberry & almond salad which had fresh strawberries as well. The service was excellent. Everything was absolutely perfect. Thank you for a great dining experience.

Excellent in all ways. Bartender Paul is great!! Great drinks and he is fast!! Waitress gave wonderful service, so sorry I can’t remember her name. She was a little older, best service I’ve had in a long time. She was perfectly attentive. Funny and so nice. I can pick apart most any restaurant, but this place was just the best in every way. And they are open on Mondays!!

I am very torn on this review and had to take a few days to reflect on this and have decided to meet in the middle.

At least our server was amazing! They do not have any type of food for kids besides lobster mac and cheese or a very fancy burger. Even though it was expensive for the burger, we split it in half for the kids and they turned it into 2 very full plates. But, I do have to realize that this is a restaurant that might not want to cater to kids and that’s perfectly fine. Kudos to them for making the kids the best out of what they had.

Next, to the Adult food review. We went on last Thursday and got their specials. My wife got the lobster and squid ink ravioli and it was unique by itself but aparently they had ran out of the normal tomatoes that would have been delicious in it and added candied and sun dried tomatoes. They were overly sweet and completely ruined the meal. They tasted like giant cranberries and did not complement the meal in any way. They were completely mixed into the sauce and it was very hard to pick out. If they decide to change a dish because they ran out of something then they need to tell people before they order or completely remove it from the specials.

Now for my meal. I got the steak special at a steak house. It has to be a winner right? We’ll I ordered a medium rare, holding back on just getting a normal rare. I just wanted to make sure I got a nice sear. The meat was over cooked, pre cut into slices and those slices were obviously cooked after the cut because you could only see pink after you cut those slices. The meat was of a very low quality for an almost $50 plate. I could of got a better piece of meat for $20 at outback. But the carrots and risotto were amazing. No complaints there. My sides were amazing and my main portion was very lacking, while my wife’s plate was good but ruined by the sides that were mixed into the meal. Their free bread was at least very good and I am glad that we at least filled up on that first.

We did not enjoy the overall experience at all. I do appreciate the server giving us a free desert for what we did bring up about my wife’s meal. I did not even try and bring up my steak because if a steakhouse cant get a good cut of meat, cook a medium rare correct and pre-slices their steaks then I know I have to give up on all hope for them.

2 stars food.
4 1/2 stars service.
4 stars atmosphere.

I want to forgive the fact that my wife found a used woman’s accessory in the toilet because they cant help that but she had seen it twice while we were there and we had to eventually bring it up to the staff ourself.

Overall we did not feel like it was a place to go with our kids on a Thursday night, the food was lacking and we just had a very bad experience over all. Our server was amazing and so was the free desert. But for $170 for the 2 adults and 2 kids with a 30% tip, I would have had a better meal and same environment at Olive Garden for half the price. Also, when they have kids at the table and they name all of the deserts, I would not say outloud that you can have the “better then sex” cake. I had to later explain to my kids when they kept asking what “sex” was that he was saying that it is “better then six” cake. I am glad that I did not get a call from my kids kindergarten teacher the next day saying how she had “sex cake” last night and how amazing it was. I have always had it presented as BTS cake when with my kids.

I in good conscience can not reccomend to adults by themselves and especially to families with young ones.
