Grand Roosevelt Hotel cocktail bar with classic drinks, plush banquettes & elegant old-world vibe.

No food, so not sure how to rate. For drinks, some, the expected, some, very imaginative. Excellent service from Tre, and I’m sure, the bartenders (although, I don’t think the bartender shook my Romos gin fizz the full 12 minutes) (joke). Got quite busy about the time we left (9:30 pm)

Visited the Sazerac Bar while in New Orleans. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, truly a time capsule to another era — dark walnut paneling, glowing chandeliers, and an intimate setting that still feels effortlessly chill. This place has long been a cornerstone of the city, and you can feel the history the moment you walk in. The service was exceptional; the bartenders were clearly skilled, attentive, friendly, and efficient. I also received excellent hospitality from Patricia, the food and beverage manager, which really elevated the experience. Tried the classic cocktails — beautifully balanced and expertly crafted. Overall, a must-visit New Orleans institution and absolutely worth returning to. Saluti

I went here with my girlfriend because an article said they had the best Sazerac in town! It was a fabulous experience! The bartender was knowledgeable and professional. The drink was top shelf and strong. The atmosphere was like going back in time!

This bar was excellent! We stopped in before a show at the Saenger Theater, and we got a Coffee House Sazerac and a Chocolate Cherry Bomb. The drinks were beautifully crafted, unique, and tasty. The place is of course gorgeous as it’s set up inside the Roosevelt Hotel. It’s upscale, so you’ll be paying premium prices. As long as you’re prepared for that, it’s worth it.

I have never been to the SAZERAC bar, New Orleans. But am going to give them 5 stars for my future visit. Why am I here then, you ask? Well, My husbands family home is like a treasured time capsule and I came across yet another gem. I will post pics this print says 1979. I just like to pass on the nostalgia being that most of these bars are not in service any longer. It’s blacked out for preservation ♀️

This bar is phenomenal! The rustic, elevated , atmosphere had me and my girlfriend considering this place for some time and, after hanging here for a while, I’m sure we’ll be back. This was a top tier experience, in large part thanks to our bartender Dylan! He helped us to select and made excellent house cocktails based on our specific preferences and made a standout old fashioned and cosmopolitan, our go to cocktails. His warm and attentive presence, craftsmanship and quality service were highlighted by this spectacular, atmospheric bar.

We visited sazerac bar in May 2025. This place is tastefully decorated with top notch cocktails and a true old world charm. If you’re a Sazerac fan, this is your place.
They offer several variations, along with other classic NOLA drinks and modern creations unique to each bartender.
All the drinks we tasted were well balanced and perfectly executed. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and we had a great chat with our bartender. The vibe is intimate and elegant, yet totally relaxed.
Be sure to explore the hotel too. The space is stunning! If you love cocktails and a classy atmosphere, this spot is a must visit in New Orleans.

Rachel was not only kind and efficient but she makes a mean dirty martini (Belvedere) with blue cheese stuffed olives. She’s efficient and pleasant too. She made my experience at the Sazarac Bar lovely and wonderfully boozy. The ambience boasts beautifully decorated walls with people of color in the market place. There’s also a vast bar with much to offer even the most discerning drink connoisseurs. It is definitely an experience to have when in New Orleans.

We took a tasting tour. The three levels of ambience and learning about how the products are made was great. We liked the small taste of each drink and I loved the interactive displays even the screen, bar tender. A cool activity for sure.

This place is almost always packed, bartenders slinging drinks, and a good vibe all around. We’ve been here a few times and always meet some of the most interesting people!
The Sazeracs here are better than everywhere else we’ve tried. Maybe it’s the way they make it, the ingredients, the atmosphere?
Our most recent visit (last night) was at the bar, and Chad took care of us. He was super fun and knew his flavors! Tell him what you like, and let the master amaze you!
As busy as they are, be assertive with your order if they get swamped and maybe forgot your order. It’s worth it!
