I don’t always choose a restaurant for a family dinner, but when I do, I prefer Corona Mexican Restaurant.
This place is the gold standard for value and reliability! The portions are so generous, I’m pretty sure my kids think the plate is a frisbee. We’re talking smart investment, people! When you’re feeding a whole crew, you need a spot that delivers, and Corona’s service is faster than I can change a flat tire on my off-road Toyota 4Runner, Tank.
Seriously, the staff is welcoming, polite, and they get that sometimes a dad just needs a fantastic, flavorful plate of Fajita Trio and a never-ending basket of chips and salsa. The atmosphere is super fun and accommodating—they handle large family gatherings and even managed my youngest’s request for a ‘vegetarian-vegan combo plate’ without blinking. That’s true reliability and attention to detail. I love knowing exactly what I’m going to get: high-quality, flavorful food that is consistently on point. We came during lunch, it was pretty quiet, staff and service we’re great, love that they have a salsa bar. The food came out hot and fresh. Not sure what kind of cheese sauce was all over my chimichanga, but it was the best! Apparently they have karaoke in the evenings, we’ll definitely have to check that out. Will definitely be back!

Food was great!!! We had a great time. The drinks was nice. I had a frozen strawberry daiquiri and my bf had tequila sunrise with a shot on the side. My bf had Ceviche and Corona Omelet. I had the cheesy chicken mixed with steak. The food came nice an hot, cooked well!!! Everyone in the restaurant was super nice!!!

I recently visited Corona’s Mexican Restaurant on Blackstock, and I had a mixed experience. The carne asada was quite good and flavorful, and they had some tasty salsas at the salsa bar. However, the atmosphere was a bit sad and not as vibrant as I had hoped.
Additionally, I found the prices to be a little on the high side, but I can see reasons for this, such as the quality of the ingredients and the generous portion sizes. One minor issue was a bit of a language barrier. I asked for salsa ranchera but ended up receiving burrito salsa instead. The staff were very friendly and tried their best, but it’s something to keep in mind.
Overall, while the food had its highlights, there were some aspects that could be improved.

Mexican cuisine never disappoints. When lazy Americans at buffalo wild wings 0.5 miles away were closed with no update on Google, no note on the door, probably got too scared of the “snow storm” that has passed many hours ago, these people were open and working hard and delivered amazing food and amazing margaritas! Very friendly atmosphere. Food was delicious. All brought out on time. Servers Alex and Julian make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell they really care about their customers. Was a great experience. Definitely will be coming back. Their soup get as an appetizer so delicious. All of their food is so good. Great prices too.

They charged me $15.03 for a large cheese. And it was not good! That’s truly price gauging for melted American cheese! I make my own! It’s def not that expensive to make! This place is a rip off! When I questioned her about it she prices went up, due to cheese prices gone up! Liar! She lucky I didn’t walk out! My granddaughter wanted the cheese I bet you next time I’ll just make her some from scratch instead of this garbage! No wonder they don’t have business! No one at any other establishment I go to charge this much!

The whole experience was just terrible and not even worth 1 star…took forever to even get our drink order in and the food was terrible…my friend’s fajitas had a nasty, old fry in them and I lost my appetite once I saw the waitress playing with the other waitress’s hair…that’s very unsanitary and gross when they’re the ones serving food and not washing their hands!…NEVER AGAIN!!!
